There was but im not getting sucked down that rabbit hole again! haha Really hope we get this fight. Would be an epic occasion for boxing and it wouldnt fail to deliver unlike many top PPV events of recent years.
Other way round mate, aj is exclusive to sky and people speculated with warrens involvement in the deal it would mean it would end up on Bt sport.
you are all mixed up, and are actually making the opposite argument to the one you are making, cause its Joshua that was supposed to be "exclusive" to Sky
I think Adam Smith probably just misses covering a US fight which isn’t complete dog muck like Hearn/DAZN have been serving up.
I meant in a PPV setting really. If he's happy to be on Sky I can't see why he'd be suddenly opposed to fighting Joshua on it which was what was being suggested last time. FWIW I couldn't give a **** what network any fighter fights on lest it prevents meaningful fights happening. I also don't really care who if anyone becomes the next undisputed heavyweight champ.
Glad its on sky sports to be honest. I think that ITV is really interested in PPV and no one would call Wilder fighting AJs left overs as PPV worthy.
The specific section of Wilder's offer to AJ referring to Sky Sports was as below: This content is protected ">February 25, 2019</a> Most likely, from Finkel's discussions with Frank Warren, Wilder's team would have known the revenue split, and pricing that BT would have been willing to offer. Sky would have been required to at least match it to get the fight.
No he’s never stated officially and it’s not even been hinted at unofficially that he was unhappy to fight on Sky.
AJ vs Wilder is the fight we all desperately want to see, which is mad because with all the hype, the inevitable rise in ppv fee & the interest it gathers...it could legitimately last less than 1 round should either man land a big shot, reminiscent of Tyson v Spinks.
