So who hits harder, Canelo or Golovkin?

I'm not saying he definitely did but you would imagine he went on them before and during his early title reign. These last few years he hasn't looked this deadly puncher, of course that could be age catching up with him.

 

I would be going with his age blatantly, you not seen him slow up ??

 

Yep he's slowed up but he has that thudding power that just didn't seem there anymore in his recent fights.

 

I think his power is the same, its just fighters see his punches coming easier now down to his delivery speed

 

Golovkin hits significantly harder , which makes Canelo out boxing him and maneuvering around his power even more impressive. If Canelo had that type of power he would have put Golovkin to sleep.

 

GGG, but look if canelo can stop jacobs then hes getting more powerful as he gets older.

 

Because he generates that thudding power by looping roundhouse punches from miles away. He threw those punches against Vanes , but why didn't he throw them against Canelo? The answer is simple.

punching power comes from twisting the wrist, shoulder snapping, hips and legs. The greater the speed combined with a snap the greater the power. Now, that's why when a fighter slows down he looses some of his power. It's that simple.

Do you think those punches looks slow ? That right hand could have closed the show if it landed.
Luckily for Canelo he has impeccable defense.

 

Not saying it was slow, but that his punches are slower, therefore less powerful, than they used to be. And that comes with age. Ask any fighter and he will say what I've said in the previous comment. People age differently, due to a number of factors, but in average, prime ends at about 35 years of age. After that you have to compensate and again, that depends on multiple factors.

i would estimate that 3g hits about 3 to 4 times harder than canelo. caneo may however hit more accurately.

Canelo cannot KO CW/HWs, noone has ever reported seeing that... but he can hit them lots with weak punches like a speccy kid hitting a big bully with featherfists in school playground.
