    Here's another.
Ali deserved the win against Jimmy Young.

I felt like I was being ethnocentric.

It's true though, America did have it great during the 70s and 80s (well, when it came to boxing. The 80s unfortunately also ushered in such culture-destroying garbage "advancements" like MTV). Every week a fan could pick and choose which fights to watch, ESPN had fights on at least several times a week then there was the networks.

Back then if you were American and a fight fan you were living in a freaking wonderful time imo. Never since have I been so informed and well watched when it came to contenders, I never had to miss a single championship fight (well, above Lightweight). I long for those times and fighters, and I think it's deserved.

I'm not sure, if you're joking… or you have actually NEVER seen a single fight with Lomachenko or Inoue?

Regarding Loma… are you not even the least bit interested in seeing, what all the talk is about? Or do you simply take for granted, that he can't be any good… and therefore not worth watching?

You're reading a bit selectively, now aren't you? Did you not see where I wrote that I acquiesce that there are of course some good fighters in every era?

And no, I've never seen him fight. Not particularly interested.

I tend to agree with you there.

The lack of organisations meant that the European / NABF / oriental titles were special to hold, and really showed a boxers class. Nowadays, there viewed more as stepping stones, and therfore there is less competition at the developing level i.e British.

I mean Henry Hank never held the world title, yet watch his bouts and you'll see he's ridiculously skilled.

Inoue is definitely one to watch.
He is the next potential ATG from now in my opinion.
He's got that special blend of power, defensive skills, IQ and fluidity.
Though you can never really tell till their careers over, I guess.
Check him out if you have the time Mcvey!

Another great example, Henry Hank...…….or Ralph Tiger Jones...…….here were a million of them, and the point is, there was nothing particularly special about them. Guys with that level of ability were everywhere.

Inoue is like watching Golovkin in his twenties, but with better size.

    Jack Johnson is overrated
Micky ward was only good against Gatti
And Henry Armstrong was better than Ray Robinson at his peak, are the ones that get me into arguments lol
