Canelo says GGG needs to get a Belt before they fight again... I respect it!

Did you not see GGG's face after the fight, or the brutal body shots Canelo landed on him, and how he needed to run out of the ring to possibly deficate from all the body punches? I would say f anyone got their ass kicked it was Golovkin.

 

I'm saying that is what is official, so it doesn't matter what certain fans think. The facts of the matter are that Golovkin officially took two L's, and now there are other viable options for Canelo to fight. So Canelo isn't wrong to tell Golovkin to make himself a viable opponent again by bringing something of worth like a title. Canelo feels he won both fights. So what is his motivation to face Golovkin at this point? Golovkin needs to bring a belt with him to the dance. So Golovkin can go on and fight scrubs, and Canelo can go on and fight the other name guys who are around that he hasn't faced yet, or Golovkin can fight Andrade for the WBO title, and get his third bout with Canelo. Golovkin has no leverage here. It is just the reality of the situation.

 

Technically and officially it was a draw and a win. I scored both for Canelo but have no issues with anyone scoring the first a draw or even a win for GGG.

But yes, GGG failed to win twice. He also got the benefit of the doubt against Jacobs. GGG also avoided Derevyenchenko and got stripped, refused to fight a WBC eliminator with Jermall... So yes, GGG needs to bring something to the table and stop piggy backing off Canelo for paydays.

Golovkin OBVIOUSLY did not want the third right away. He went on an almost year long recovery vacation.

 

This is the only ggg Canelo thread I've enjoyed, there's valid points on both sides and truth in both arguments.

first fight could of gone either way
Canelo won the second
both have had favourable decisions in their careers
Canelo is a drug cheat
ggg's faught alot of bums
Canelo should fight ggg as soon as possible to end the controversy
Canelo doesn't need to fight ggg unless he has a belt he is the champion
Canelo fielding was a gimme but it was at a higher weight (so is more acceptable/understandable)

all these points fall on different side's of the argument but they are all true (i accept that Canelo winning the second is disreputable)

 

Lol he's no shame has he?Is he oblivious to what the consensus of opinion was about both those fights,did a splendid job last fight but hed already lost by three or four rounds first time up.
Had Canelo dominated Golovkin he would have a point to deny him any rematch but he not only scraped by,he lost by a round in the majority of the medias opinion.

 

First fight was a disgrace as we all know Adelaide Byrd was either inept or corrupted,second fight whilst I thought Golovkin won by a round,no way could I say Canelo was handed that as he did everything to make sure he won.I think he's a very smart fighter who visibly takes some rounds off and steps on it in others.
I do think Canelo wins by knockout in a third fight but I'm sorry Canelo deserving the second doesn't make up for the drawn first fight and they should both have a win each imo.
