Claressa Maria Shields vs. Christina Hammer

Shields will beat up Hammer.

 

Keep swaying. Think I'll stick with Hammer on points but if it's close she isn't getting the decision. Shields is just so hard to like as a person. From the whole 'good job unc' to scoring the fight for Wilder, I just cannot get into her at all.

 

This is gonna be a great fight. Both ladies bring proper boxing techniques to the table that haven't been seen in women's boxing. It will be refreshing to see two ladies getting down with real skills. I don't have a favorite as of now but I do think that this is only the first of a trilogy.

 

Not only that but they have contrasting styles too which makes it even more interesting. Probably the first fight in women's boxing I can honestly say I'm excited by

 

i had wilder winning. idc what anyone thinks. he won a razor thin decision because hes knocked him down 2x. if not for one knockdown fury would win. with wilder knocking him down twice i think he only had to win a total of 4 rounds to make it a draw. but who cares that fight is over with i shields vs hammer is a good fight i cant wait. i like hammer to win this. i see her outboxing her with nice tight clean straight shots. i see shields getting hit with counter shots. im picking hammer but decision or late stoppage.

 

I can see hammer quitting if the going gets rough

Winning 4 rounds does not win him the fight. So many people seem to think that losing a round 10-8 negates a round that you won by 10-9. It doesn't.

Edited to add: Just to clarify, this is not my scorecard. Just putting the scores if Wilder were to have won 4 rounds in an easy to read format.

 

I heard there was a nightmare fight on the undercard. Going by the opponent's name, that guy is probably going to be doped out of his knockers... Family of Memo by any chance?

 

Shields is faster and has better variety and overall skills in my opinion.

But Hammer is bigger, rangier and seems to be the bigger puncher. If she can keep Shields on the outside with the jab and catch her coming in, I think Hammer can stop her.

I'm giving the slight edge to Shields right now, think her superior skills and variety can overcome Hammer's physical advantages but it's not going to be easy and if she gets sloppy which she's prone to do at times then she might find herself being counted out.

 

I'd boot that refs head in given the chance, shocking letting her carry on after getting tangled
