Maybe Yarde is taking the Brook blueprint of fighting virtual no one who is a test then trying to jump to world level and hope he matches up well against who he's facing to grab a belt.

I mean Hatton was derided a bit on the way up for his level of opposition but at least he had been in with some real tough guys like Tackie and Thaxton and a few guys who had been there and done it and guys like Phillips who could punch a bit even if past their best.

Yarde literally has no schooling, he hasn't had to dig deep or eat a big shot. His attributes in power and speed are good, but he's never had to force the pace or by time in the ring or be overly tactical.

I wonder how fighting away from home will effect him as well, can't be easy new climate, limited support etc

If this comes off fair play to Yarde he's fresh, but untested what ever happens we will see how good he is..

    Big time
If he even takes the fight as you say, he will dispel a lot of people's perceptions about him

Is Yarde as good as Marcus Browne? We really don't know, do we, due to the level of opposition he's faced. It's a shame that he's not had a gradual rise but good luck to him.

Marcus Browne looked absolute quality against Jack. He was winning nearly every round. Southpaw, big, strong and awkward with some nice skills. They’re operating at completely different levels. I really wish they’d gradually stepped Yarde up so we could see what he’s got, his improvements and really get behind him.

Why are Russian visas so expensive?

You'd think they'd want tourists. Flying to Russia is fairly cheap.

This was a great video, real funny. I'm not convinced about Tunde but the guy makes a good point in this video. The pressure is not just on Yarde, there's a whole lot of pressure on Tunde as well. Thinking about what he's saying, talking about himself in the third person etc, I think it might all be an act in order to take the pressure off Yarde and let him go into the big fight with a large focus from the fans on Tunde rather than Yarde.

Regardless, I think it's clear that the pair of them think Yarde can beat Kovalev.

Tunde got rinsed in that video lol

Personally I think he is full of crap and judging by how Dill talks to him most others do
Good points raised at times but in the most cringworthy manner

Guy couldn't stop chatting I swear he must have a Napoleon complex

Quoted in Russian press today, Yarde team negotiated a $3.2m+ purse. I guess his team thinks it's a risk reward worth taking. He is huge for the weight so a built in excuse already in place I guess if he loses.

For me kovalev court case will determine of this actually happens or he has to vacate.

Tunde is 60% of the reason Yarde has a bad name. Made up Dillian was telling him straight.

How the hell have they pulled that off? Wheres themoney coming from that means Kovalev must be on at least 8 million for the fight. Big numbers for a run of the mill mandatory defense.

It’s not a mandatory split, they made a deal. Kovalev would be getting nowhere near £8m, in fact it wouldn’t surprise me if Yarde gets more if those numbers are true. Also I think the $3.2m purse includes both fighters’ purses, not sure.

Or Kovalev is taking a smaller split then he would have if it was in the UK or America in order to secure the fight in Russia. It's probably close to 50/50
