Wow what a personality Bowe and an outstanding heavyweight talent though it could be argued he did not quite fulfill his whole potential.

Lol. Lewis is such a moron. First he openly admits pricing himself out and calling a career high pay day - slap in the face money.
Then he offers to fight for no money - lets send all the money to Africa. lolol.

I doubt Bowe is a good actor either. He just being honest. When you're being honest , you're less likely to contradict yourself like Lewis did.

Lewis at that period wanted no part of Bowe. Its clear s day.

One hundred percent agree with you there, at one point Lewis said that the 3 million wasn't enough money and then about a minute later he said that ''the money's not the aspect it's the title'' and then went onto as you pointed out, say how ''he'll knock him out for 3 million'' and ''I'll fight him for no money''.

    All rather bizarre.

How I see it is, Bowe beats Skinny Lewis and the ''big'' Lewis of 1996 to the mid-2000's beats the Bowe of that time.

Bowe beats Lewis from the 1992-1995 time period.
Lewis beats Bowe anytime after the 1995/6 time period.

I liked Bowe but what used to bother me about him is that he never seemed to have his own personality. He was always trying to emulate Ali and it got to be a little ridiculous. The other thing being his lack of discipline.

Lennox would have beaten him for sure.

at least Bowe had a personality and a modicum of natural wit, Lennox had the charisma of a damp rag. would have been a great fight, I always found it hard to pick a winner.

Lennox was right Bowe was a good actor. It was obvious Rock Newman was not going to let Bowe fight Lennox cause if he did his golden goose was plucked. I heard that from his own mouth

Not true actually Lennox is a heck of a nice guy I've met him a few times & he was always the same. What someone that doesnt know him dont realise is that he is a quiet shy guy & they take that as he is alloof but he is not

Lennox was better, conning most of a nation that he was fighting for them, when he was a Canadian at heart blatantly !

That's because he changed his mind on the $3 mill 90/10 split. He initially said no to only getting 10% but then changed his mind when it was clear he wasn't going to get anything better and so agreed the $3 mill payday but by then Bowe and Newman withdrew the offer.

Lewis went on to make more than Bowe did for his next 2 fights. So clearly $3 mill was in truth too little money.

When Bowe lost the belts Lewis offered Bowe a 40% split and they signed the fight, but then Lewis lost to McCall, so it never happened.

So who's ducking, the guy who low balled with a 10% split and then dumped the belt or the guy who when Bowe was without the belts offered him 40%. I mean Lewis didn't even need Bowe then as he had no belts to win but Lewis as WBC champ still gave him 40%. Can you imagine AJ offering Wilder 40% if he had lost his title to Fury?

Lewis was a lot of things, one of them being horrible when interviewed, he lacked the charm Bowe showed in that interview and stumbled over his own words but he never ducked a dangerous opponent.
