Wilder apologists just love making excuses for Diva Deontay turning down generous offers to fight for the undisputed championship. Makes you wonder if they are boxing fans at all.

And another thing, why would you want Wilder to tell Hearn or whoever it is offering such a generous 50% split deal to 'stick it'? Don't you want the fight for Undisputed? Don't you want to see just one man ruling the most glamorous division in boxing?

This is the growing narrative from Wilderettes. They don't actually want the fight with AJ because they know full well that AJ will smash him to bits and render him unconscious, and finally pass the chance of the golden chalice of undisputed from being in American hands for the foreseeable into the hands of a Brit. That slenderest of links from the American boxing fan to the Heavyweight title will be gone for a very, very long time. Only Britain, Eastern Europe and the African states have any championship worthy contenders on the horizon, America has no one.

The fact is that Hearn overplayed his hand and underestimated Wilder's potential and it is coming home to roost on him. Like Arum said, Hearn don't know d*** about promoting in America.

It's promising that we actually agree on something.

This. Hearn screwed up big time. When Wilder was ready to overrule Finkel and take the $15 million flat fee out of desperation to fight Joshua Hearn was an idiot to still insist on future options on Wilder. I knew Wilder wasn’t going to give Hearn or for that matter anybody options on him after he split with Oscar.

I dont know if he would take 50-50. I know its just my opinion and many dont agree but i dont think Team Wilder want it. Wilder does but he is being fed a barrel load of lies and bull**** and spin from his management and the dumb **** is believing them. Either that or they just desperately need to make sure it is on Showtime which is why they didnt take the DAZN offer. But these guys been holding this fight up for a year now and are now talking about 2020 and in 2020 that will turn in to 2021.

Gotcha, so your stance is that reality should bend to fit your narrative regardless how delusional, seems like a reasonable take. Of course “you don’t care”...you expect reality to change to fit you, obviously “you don’t care”...lol.

He didn’t lose, it was a draw, and Fury beat Wlad already.

What are the things you feel he has been right about
How is he the peoples champion?
I think many felt he lost to Fury and as for Joshua not cleaning out his back yard. Joshua has cleaned Wilders back yard in Martin, Breazeale, and next Miller. If Wilder held a win over any of these 3 undefeated fighters it could be argued as his biggest win.
Now we dont know how Joshua/Miller will go but Joshua has a far greater win resume and only half the fights, so the cleaning out anything when you have one fighter with 41 fights and the other with 22 is ridiculous to say the least
He doesnt need to go anyway if he doesnt choose to. He is the champ and man who has won most of the belts.
What does going to America have to prove at HW? Its a division that has been dominated by European fighters for a long time and the big crowds are in Europe
Wilder is fortunate in the opinion of many not to have a loss on his record and to still be a champ.

I get that the result stands, it's on record as a draw so it's a draw, I'm not stupid but, I'm not a fan particularly of either fighter and guess what? I watched the fight several times and I was of the opinion that Fury won. That happens to be an opinion shared by the VAST MAJORITY of boxing writers, journos and fans. That's the point I was making, nothing more.

Most people think that was a brazen bit of home cooking. Hang on to that if you need to but don't expect me to go along with it.

50% now is more money to be made than 60/40 against Wilder with no WBC belt and a loss to his name.

No money or interest in a fight against Wilder 18 months from now if Wilder has no belt and no unbeaten record.

AJ really needs some hype-able opposition (such as Wilder/Fury as they stand now) until the new crop of HWs comes up 18 months or so from now.
