Been reminiscing today about some of my favourite fighters of recent yours and started thinking about how quickly some fighters are forgotten before there careers are even over or after they retire .. Where they are basically thrown into hypothetical fantasy matches and become fodder... "suck and such would destroy him etc

Who are some fighters you feel are very understated head to head or people have just forgotten how good they were

L get the ball rolling with a favourite of mine... Nonito donaire... Fast and powerful .. Good skills but maybe fell in love with his left hook a little too much later in his career

I feel he is insanely underrated... At the lower weights he was a head to head beast... With fantastic one punch ko power .. But he's hardly spoken about now.... When he had just had his fighter of the year run he was eventually out skilled and battered by el chacal ... No shame there at all... And then probably suffered from attempting to climb too high in weight... Any weight up to bantamweight ill feel he would be a nightmare for some of the greats at those weights and I'm personally enjoying what could be a great end to a fantastic career .... I don't expect him to beat inoue and win the wbss... But I would love it if he did
    Show some fighters some love

Yes... But alot of people I speak to seem to forget how good he was for a while ... Like I said before wbss kicked off that I thought he might be a live dog back at bantam... And thought he would beat Burnett... And quite a few folks said to me.. Nar, he's done.. And someone said the way rigo beat him proved he wasn't that good .. Do you get what I mean ... I remember someone say ages ago roman gonzalez would have smashed donaire both at there peak and I thought "would he ****"

Edit I mean forgotten over the years

Everyone pretty much still vividly remembers Donaire's prime run. He's definitely not forgotten or underrated.

A lot of those types however: I'll give a few weight classes:

MW: Kingsley Ikeke, 6'4 MW, his dimensions were insane and he was being touted as next in line to give Jermain Taylor hell, until he ran into Arthur Abraham.

CW: Wayne Braithwaite, I think people forget how Big Truck was running opponents over until he ran into Mormeck. I think the Mormeck fight then the Jones fight after took everything out of him. Completely erased his prime.

HW: Cedric Boswell, almost broke through at HW, was ahead on the cards against Mccline but got stopped with like 30 seconds left. Then layoffs and bad fortune, he never regained form.

Recently I wondered why people underrate a guy like Glowacki so much.
He's in a red hot division, in which everyone seems to fight everyone due to the tournament, but many already wrote him off and I can't see why. He lost to Usyk... like all of them did or would, but he was one of the earlier victims and written off because of that.
Wouldn't surprise me one bit if he gives Briedis all he could handle or even upsets him maybe even towards winning the 2nd tourney.

Gerald McLeland as a Boxer was a force of nature. He had serious skills and outslugged Julian Jackson twice

Prime him v RJJ would have been something.

Good shout! He was a beast. Even after his losses to Maccirinelli and Mormeck, he knocked out Yoan Pablo Hernandez just before Hernandez went on quite a long reign as champ.

another one is - Marcelo Fabian Dominguez - he was quality little crazy Argentinian , WBC Cruiserweight champion too

Enzo Maccirinelli's resume is underrated , that's two quality wins there he has.
