Helenius is a good shout actually. I doubt Mick can get an American over given his budget. Bakole vs Hughie isn’t a bad match up at this stage either for both men.
Just a shame that with so little boxing on free TV, it's one of the most boring fighters around. Not exactly gonna get the casuals into the sport.
Hughie is OK to watch with an opponent his is confident with Look at his last C5 outing for the British belt However put him in with any kind of puncher and he adopts a back foot stance that not only is boring to the eye has t really helped him in his two biggest fights I still to this day can not understand why he fought like he did against Pulev He really needs a fight now that he can win no problem Another loss sets him too far back considering he has already had a world title shot and a fight for a mandatory position Nick Webb fits the bill
The only Hughie 'The Skirt' Fury I enjoyed was his reality check against Pudding Pulev. Every one of his fights have been stinkers and he really should have grown a pair and defended his British Title against the live opponents on the horizon.
The win against Sexton wasn't too bad a watch Pulev just beat him up over a long 12 rounds Sex case or not I quite enjoy the Cobra and look forward to him actually cashing out his mando
Bakole would be a decent yardstick agreed or Gorman although not sure on how traveller politics would work.
Still only 24. Classy fighter. Don’t forget he suffered a pretty awful eye injury in that Pulev fight. He did well to get through the 12 rounds and at one point he hurt Pulev with a peach of a right hand. Hopefully he’ll have learned lots from it including more punch variety ie using the left hand.
Gorman is a “relative” so that’s not happening. Bakole has just fought so be too quick a turnaround id imagine. I’d be disappointed with a Sokolowski type but I think that’s going to be close to the standard.
That's pretty much exactly how I see it. People can say what you want about Hughie but the boy can box and he's hard.
