Don't forget, Armstrong was in an era when there was 1 champ per division. Today' belt snatchers rarely move up and take the belt from the best man of the division.

Your agenda couldn't be more apparent. Let me guess, older boxers are all trash and your heroes would have schooled them right?

In terms of total weight jumped Pac still has him beat. And considering Pac jumped From FW to WW in the span of the year, same difference.

Old school boxers were trash, you just have to watch them and have no bias and actually have boxing knowledge. There’s a reason why no top fighter today fights with their hands on their chest whilst leading with their face. Guys like jack Johnson, Dempsey, pep, Armstrong were pioneers.

SRR was amazing because he looked like a modern day boxer fighting in the 40s.

SRR, Ali, 80s and above were all modern day level boxers. SRL may be the best p4p ever h2h, although maybe Floyd and RJJ would be up for debate on that. SRL would beat floyd but only because floyd is naturally a much smaller guy.

Edit: Tyson would also be in the running. The guy was legit p4p giving up 20lbs regularly on fight night and at his peak, I’ve never seen better combination of offensive and defensive skills along with physical prowess.

I disagree they were not trash far from it. These boxers fought weekly and took on all comers. With modern techniques and nutrition they would still be great today.

He fought his style in an era where gloves were much different then they are today. Who now days would wreck him with more padded modern gloves on?

Ariza shake was invented with Pac doe. Roach said he didn't know what Ariza had in those shakes doe. It was the main reason why Pac didn't test doe.:risas3: When Ariza left his camp Pac fell off doe.

Dude, Armstrong got "rekt" in his day! Of course, he had such an immense bonce he could take it and eventually stop his man.
My inkling is that he was on the world's finest Colombian whilst doing it but still, he would have simply gassed the likes of Canelo and stopped him imo. Man was a phenom.

If Pacman had trouble with Horn, Bradley, or Morales be it that he beat Bradley with a horrible Robbery in the first bout,, But man Armstrongs work rate and toughness would be just to much for Pacman i'm sorry different times and quite a bit better competition, fought way more often,, In my view which i know alot of people will disagree with Armstrong stops Pacman mid rounds! But it's boxing and we all have different views!

At flyweight yes. Sakasul was lineal.
At featherweight, yes. Barrera was lineal champ.
Hatton was lineal at 140lbs, too, and Pac did win the lineal belt at 130 after the second JMM fight.

At lightweight, no. And, he did kind of back into the lineal title at welterweight, after Mayweather retired in 2016.

True lineal championship wins in 4 separate divisions is pretty impressive, though.

Come on man, how does that explain keeping your gloves by your stomach and going in face first? I challenge any boxing coach to explain the science in that?

It’s more simple than that, boxing has evolved.

Fighters fight in 8oz gloves and spar in 16oz gloves, they don’t change their style.

As I said, SRR looked like a modern boxer in the 40s and look what he did.

Anderson Silva looked like a modern day MMA fighter back in the days and he wrecked that too.
