At 135, there's only Richard Commey. Commey's a decent scalp (razor close fights w/ bum Easter and Shafikov) and unifications are sexy, but then that's it. There's no one else. Berchelt and Ito could go up to 140, but Berchelt won't fight a live body either. Duckvonta is will be shielded from any fighter with a pulse by Floyd. At 140, there's a lot of undefeated guys and Mikey will likely be lurking there. Lopez also said that he's moving up to 140 by year end.

Loma is too small for 135 let alone 140

Nah he should move down and take on Berchelt and Davis or wait for them to come up. He's at a weight he shouldn't be at as it is, even Crolla is noticeably bigger than him, and Crolla isn't a big lightweight

Davis and Berchelt aren't going to do much for his legacy. And those fights aren't happening.

There's no 1 fight that will do anything for his legacy, except maybe Garcia, he needs multiple fights, and cleaning these divisions out will enhance it

No, he really shouldn't. Loma should never fight at 140, not once in his entire career.

Garcia is not a world class fighter.

Why not , he has the skill and talent to compete with the guys at 140. What sort of boxing fan is against challenging and high stake fights?

Okay, i'm not as big on him as others seem to be, but he is a world class fighter

He is already too small in his current division. Jumping weight classes is not a requirement to be a great. Plus hasn't he already gone up 3 weight classes? He doesn't have the body for it, and there is no need for him to go fight guys way bigger than him. I am all for challenges, but no I don't want to see Loma or any other boxer get banged on by some less skilled guy who is just way bigger than him. There is a reason for weight divisions. Let him be great where his body suits him.

That's why he should have fought Pac. It could have been at 140. He would have fought in a higher division against a guy that's not bigger than him. He would have gotten a huge paycheck and an ATG on his resume (though he would have been sparked out cold).

Pac was 149 on fight night against Broner. A mere pound higher than what Salido was and lighter than Linares.

He looks healthy and strong at 135 so i don't believe he's too small to be fighting at 135 at all. Why doesn't he move back down if he's too small? He's never going back down.
He doesn't have to go to 140 either , but I certainly would not be against it if he wanted to try and capture another belt in another division.
A talent him him should be tested to the best of his ability. The available competition just isn't good enough for him.

Not necessarily. He's a small lightweight as is, and there's some good young talent coming through with Davis, Lopez, Haney, and Garcia. That's a deep pipeline coming up, all in all

I think, too often, weight jumping gets more credit than ruling a division when it can be easier to do if you're selective about which titlists you pick as you move up. Weight jumping just for the sake of it means less than cleaning out a division and building a legacy there IMO.

Lomas immediate course is set. He wants to be undisputed like Usyk. That is the next 12 to 18 months for him...

He's entitled to gun for undisputed LW champion if he chooses.

I don't think Linares, Pedraza, Crolla, Commey & maybe Campbell/Lopez as a whole is a bad way of doing it do you? Especially considering he's clearly a SFW fighting at LW right now.... He's noticeably undersized against all 3 of his opponent's thus far!

Why does these idiots keep stating Loma is too small for 135 and 140?!?!?!? Look at the guys body and dimensions. Much smaller guys have fought at even 147. Stop with these ridiculous pre-emptive excuses and get behind Loma having legacy defining wins.
