You’re conveniently missing out several things. The Hatton - Mayweather fight being at 5am obviosly affects the numbers done. You’re also forgetting how much the casual fan loves AJ and the advertising and hype also for that Parker fight - fighting an unbeaten champion for another belt.

All those numbers seem perfectly realistic to me if you really think about it without an agenda...

 

Unless you were streaming it (there was an option to pay for this as well) there was no live broadcast in the UK. It ended up being on a delayed ITV4 show the following day.

Massive shame really - Froch Pascal had been on ITV1 (funnily enough against a Warren show featuring Audley v Rogan which was PPV!)

 

same with eubanks fights on itv... v Quinlan for eg.....

 

Pretty sure the Parker vs Hughie PPV did even worse, but like said, these are only Sky Box Office numbers...

 

I remember watching it on some dodgy torrent - was praying it didn't fail in the 12th. What a finish that was.

 

BARB doesn't provide figures on all channels individually. ITV Box Office numbers are probably lumped in with other Non-BARB reported channels, so there is no way of knowing what their figures are likely to be (via BARB at least).

The list in the OP is therefore incomplete as well as incorrect and inconsistent.

You may have done, but from my memory it wasn't live on UK TV. I remember watching it at 10pm on ITV4 on the Sunday night. And I remember being utterly astounded that they went to all the hassle to buy the rights but refused to show it live.

But hey, Mick Hennesy was his promoter then.

 

Not sure on some of these. Would expect the first Groves Froch fight to have done more than stated given the build up?

 

The Super Six fights on "Prime Time", including Froch-Dirrell, must have done worse than the stuff on Sky Box Office.

The fraudulent Barb list again. The list that team matchroom point to to "prove" that AJ got over a million buys vs Parker and Povetkin (no chance they came that close to wlad - FAKE).

This mad list includes many fights that weren't even a PPV and if I remember correct, it says Froch Groves 2 only done like 50k more than the abysmal Frampton-Quigg numbers.

That Hatton number is impressive considering it was the middle of the night over here.

 

It mustn't have been live, so. Goes to show it was a lot easier back then to avoid a result because I watched it and nearly went down with Taylor in the 12th. A stunning final round.

Now trying to avoid a result I have to stay away from about four group chats, facebook and this forum. In other words, I can't peak at my phone whatsoever if I want to watch a fight after it's taken place.

 

Now it is all about recording the USA fights on Sky Q and leaving your TV on BabeNation so you don't hear the result when you switch the TV on.

 

I was one of the 50 or so people who stupidly paid for that. I've never quite been the same since.
