That was a savage beating on the 3rd and a sickening KO in the 4th. He looked really badly hurt and glassy eyed a while after that KO, he's been a hero for British boxing and he's a great lovely bloke. Time to hang up Ant you've earned your money, I'm sure he could be hired as a pundit if he wanted it. God bless.
I agree, why carry on ?? Maybe 1 or 2 back home if he wants, but why ?? Very good career, earnt a few quid and shared the ring with Loma, wave good bye
Who can he fight in a domestic now though? Campbell is ahead of him now, flanagan is at 140. He may go up for one he's not a big lw.
He said he didn't want to go out (face first) like this, so I actually expect him to fight a pushover in his hometown and then call it a day. I'm fine with that, but I don't want to see him in against someone dangerous.
That would mean the vast majority of lightweights (anyone not in the top10) are below British domestic level...
There have been many undeserving and terrible "world champs". Please don't force me to explain not only how this happens but also who these "champs" are.
No it wouldn't. Stop twisting every single thing to make your your favourite fighter's look good. Crolla is trash, far from world level, contender or anything close to it. Like I said, domestic level and no more.
So, how many of the division would you rate over Crolla, and thus over "British domestic level"? 15? 20? 30?
Wouldn't suprise me if he fights Patera for the European on a Sky show as his retirement fight.or a more winnable for against someone like Craig Evans gets his win at the MEN and sails off into the sunset.
