Now, I think both of these are massively overrated and probably hit as hard as eachother
Does Dempsey do a Willard on him? Or does Klitschko take his shots and arm punch him to death?
I like Klitschko by UD due to his size and supposed granite chin. But I'd really see any outcome other than a Dempsey cold KO

Klitschko via TKO in 7. Dempsey would need to pul off his best early, and even then it would likely not be enough. Vitali's mobility and defense remained under rated, it wasn't just his height that made him tough to hit. Decent on the counter too.

I like JD's offense, but on defense he's too easy to hit.

Vitali too tall, rangy and mobile for Jack on the back foot if he decides to be and a good enough chin to take what Jack can land.
Vitali by later rounds stoppage or UD.

We agree on the picks, but why do you think both are massively overrated?

I think when people say that Vitali would beat everyone in history is just wrong. I think he'd beat alot of guys like Patterson, Marciano and Fraizer. But he'd lose to people like Ali, Lewis and Holyfield imo. Also a lot of people say he's an absolutely massive puncher, which could be true but he never proved it with his arm punches and his chin was only tested once, and it was ripped apart

I think Dempsey was overrated due to people like @The Undefeated Lachbuster (who I have, nor want, no problems with) say he hits harder than Lewis, Tua and Baer. Also his résumé isn't all that more impressive than Vitali other than his win over Sharkey. His legendary title reign was a myth and his whole aura of supremecy was never against an ATG which isn't his fault because there wasn't any but he still suffers from it. My unpopular opinion is
    Harry Wills > Jack Dempsey

I don't think Either are top 10 HWs but both tend to be ranked there.

The Dempsey that fought Willard was something beyond special.

    Dempsey late stoppage or UD

So has nothing to do with his chin, right?

Well it's part of it isn't it? Durability and all.
But if it isn't it he took some monster shots from (an older) Lewis, who could still bang, but even so he was wobbled by them. Other than that and Sanders he wasn't really hit by any colossal punchers.

Dempsey obliterates him into a late stoppage or UD, but honestly, when it's the Dempsey that was blasting out Gunboat, Fulton and Willard, Vitali may have met his worst nightmare.

    Owch

Also Frazier would solidly UD him, in fact I might make that into a thread? Lemme see if it's been posted recently

Big and slow, just how Dempsey likes it.

I think Dempsey batters, but doesn't KO him, a stoppage is possible.
