Loma isn't getting **** on, Crolla's actual level is what I'm discussing. I've done nothing but stop short of giving Lomachenko copious amounts of head like some of the Loma ball gobblers on this forum. It's hilarious that the ball gobblers have an issue with me not slobbering him down as well. You all are so touchy that you even try to suggest I'm a hater, because I give him the same criticism I've given Mayweather and others. Oh wait, when Mayweather was at 130 and 135, he was actually fighting live bodies and legit opposition. You all should stop making excuses for Lomachenko. He's a hell of a talent, and he just took out the trash. Crolla was trash. Nobody wants to see him beat up scrubs though, and it does nothing for his legacy. Belts don't mean ****, if a scrub has one. Fight the best opponents, the belt doesn't make someone good. We saw that with Crawford becoming unified at 140 without having beaten a top level opponent. Postman wasn't an A level guy.
no, he wouldnt. todays champions would be contenders to the one real champion. crolla woulda been contender to be a contender.
I'm not making 'excuses' for Lomachenko here or even trying to give him that much praise. I just hate people shitting on fighters as they think it advances an agenda they have towards another fighter. Crolla is a solid fighter in an unexceptional division and coming to the end of of overachieving career. I said the same when everyone spat on Indongo after he found himself several levels below p4p Crawford. He didn't deserve the **** he got.
That was a general statement for the ball gobblers. If that's not you, it wasn't meant for you. What agenda do I have, outside of wanting to see Loma challenge himself? Respect to Crolla for getting in the ring and taking his beating. He's long past it though, and that he's even mentioned as a champion by ball gobblers just shows what agenda there is for some. Crolla isn't that good. He's a former titlist from a weak weight division. He just got highlight reeled.
The fight did nothing for Lomachenko's legacy and told us nothing we didn't know already. That said I don't know why we have to play down Crolla as if he was a complete bum. He isn't and I think it's unfair to portray him as such. Do Tank or Mikey want the work? Those are the fights I want to see.
Yes & Floyd knows it.. He knows from personal experience what a master boxer can do to the bigger punching but more predicable & 1D type fighters!
Tank doesn't want it, and Mikey doesn't want it at 135. Can't pack on muscle and then cut back down to the hold weight, most guy's bodies don't react the same anymore once the muscle is added. Tank needs to stay active, and fight better opponents. There isn't much at the weight class, but he could be fighting them, instead of fighting ****ing Gamboa. Lomachanko will beat Tank. He's too big in size, and his footwork is too good. Tank's footwork is worse than that of Rigondeaux, and Russell Jr. Loma can point fight him, or put pedal to the medal and work that arse over in my opinion. Loma will never lose to a short pudgy mother ****er.
Loma beats Tank easy. Couple of cautious early rounds and then School would be in session. López is the big fight.
It's also worth pointing out that Crolla would be the second best name on Davis' resume. Plenty of stacked divisions have had blue collar fighters like him in the top 10 getting title shots. With the mandatory system in place, it happens. I hate seeing someone who's overcome what Crolla has labeled a bum, and that says way more about the person slinging the insult than Crolla. Loma makes a lot of world caliber fighters look way worse than they really are...
Loma has avoided come forward fighters since the Salido fight. If he really wants to round out his resume and take risks, he needs to fight Tank or Prograis.
