He also didn’t fight Salido or someone that much bigger in his second fight, with the ref against him. So that has zero relevance. At the world level, is Lomachenko having debatable wins against Trout, Lara level opposition? Is he getting lucky decisions against GGG? Is he getting shut out by old legends? Unbelievable that you would bring up Salido, a close fight with a call that could’ve went either way in the context of a discussion about Canelo.
He had fought six fights against good opposition and pro rules before he turned “pro,” along with hundreds of am fights. Salido was supposed to be a walk in the park.
I actually agree with this. Canelo just has fought waaaaaaay tougher competition than Loma and Crawford combined, then you factor in he's fighting Jacobs next too? That win solidifies him as p4p #1 by far. Walters, Linares, GRJ, old ass Rigo jumping up 2 weights isn't a Jacobs caliber win let alone a GGG win.
All you rude boys desert your bredrins once they've been dismantled, no loyalty. Walters was gonna bost him up, Rigo was gonna out skill him etc..Kicked to the side once they've been humiliated, disassociation rapido Cornelius
What other opponents? You mean Gamboa who never did anything at 135 but got destroyed by a gatekeeper? Or Indongo who got annihilated in two rounds by Prograis? Or the Australian PE teacher? Strong resume I see... Postol isn't bad I agree. He has solid fundamentals and he is strong mentally. But that doesn't change the facts that Postol is stiff as a tree, has no power, and he isn't fast. He is basically the least athletically talented fighter who has won a world championship. Yet he is Crawford's best win... That speaks volumes of his terrible resume.
You don’t get to be pound for pound just by fighting top opposition, you also need to win and be dominant. Don’t assume he beats Jacobs either.
Pound for Pound is nothing more than Fart for Fart. Everyone has their own rip with different sound and scent !
"Crawford's fought noone" Crawford suffers the floyd syndrome. Everybody is "the hell of a fighter" until crawford destroys him, then they are all bums. You can only suffer this syndrome if you are a completely exceptional fighter. I dont care if crawford and loma are #1 and #2 or #2 and #1. I let you all to waste your time, I dont feel like wasting mine.
This has no bearing on Mayweather. Canelo is a much improved fighter than the relatively green 21 yr old that fought Floyd. You are projecting your fanboy mindset.
I'm a big supporter of Jacobs, coming back from cancer and his heart is something I really admire, but there's levels to this. Canelo is a level above, the GGG fights made him into a god of boxing. No one can beat him at 160. 168 the only guy I give a chance is Smith because of his massive size.
