Hogan won, that's obvious, but you went overkill with hyperbole lol, its cringeworthy.

We already know the 22 year old limited Munguia has a lot of flaws that could and would be exposed by a top skilled fighter.

I don't recall anyone over hyping Munguia.. Even a ****** can see how rugged and limited he is.

Regardless, he's talented and gifted enough to have beat a world champion in Ali, and former world champion in Smith, sure, bottom of the barrel champs, but champs nonetheless.

Maybe you should give Hogan mad props instead of dimishing his performance by saying he outboxed a big hype job.

 

I’ll keep that in mind when I rewatch it. I definitely think that I was watching the fight live through a very biased lens which is why I’m willing to admit I’m probably not the most reliable when it comes to this fight (until I rewatch it and am able to be more fair)

Hogan won at least seven rounds very clearly, even in the eyes of a majority of Mexican fans. How is him losing a MD and being denied his championship dreams then not a travesty? Appealing to worse robberies doesn't negate this being one; you disagree with the decision yourself, so where is exactly is my "hyperbole"? Plenty of threads have been made on Munguía calling him the new murderous bogeyman at 154lbs following his victories over Ali, Smith & Cook. It wasn't until he looked average versus Inoue that some began to pump the brakes on him. I'm not making it up, he was massively hyped for most of last year, and I don't owe it to you to "prove that" by doing the bitch work of copying pasting a bunch of thread links. Hogan emigrated for work like many Irish during the econmic crash, he boxed as an amatuer in Ireland and fought as a light heavy, he never won an Irish amatuer title as Kenny Egan (Olympic Silver) was the champ for 10 years and Hogan couldnt touch him, he went pro like a few other Irish lads such as Ibf 122 champ TJ Doheny in Australia as there is a big Irish community and selling tickets is easy over there. He is done a lot better than I ever thought he would. He was a pretty average amatuer over here and only boxed for Ireland a handfull of times, although he has said he was a heavy drinker in Ireland and gave it up when he went to Aus.
