Personally I think Ali would be too fast and would have a chin too hard to crack for Louis to be the consistent winner. Ali vs Louis results in an Ali win 6 or 7/ 10 for sure
I think it’s set in stone that Louis (and Ali) are to be ranked one of the top two greatest heavyweights until the end of time and the extinction of everything that ever existed but in terms of H2H, there can’t be many that realistically would name him at the top.
Clearly better h2h as in they would win in a straight up h2h fight with Schmeling? I would put money on Joshua to beat him and most likely Wilder and Fury to win as well. Now if as the thread title suggest the greatest of all time in H2H, not just the current heavyweight scene then there’s are quite a few that I would place ahead of Louis.
That's putting it mildly. There are plenty of big men who would be favorites against "Prime Schmeling."
Eh, he'd be the closest I could think of but even he isn't a sure thing fave (over Schmeling, let alone Louis)
Over Herr Max? I'll take Bowe, Foreman, both K Bros, Corrie Sanders, Joshua, Fury, Ibeabuchi, Wilder... and probably a few more if I had time to think upon it.
