Was Joe Louis there? We could have had him ko'ing Floyd Patterson in 1 or 2 on the undercard.

How on God's green earth is 6 foot 7 guy with an 83" reach tiny? And how does this relate to a guy who was 5-11 in lifts and the reach of a thalidomide baby?

The insane leaps of illogic among the Marcianistas are truly second to none.

Wilder has the bone structure of a bird with osteoporosis, and legs that, if they were any smaller, would be invisible

What matters, height and reach (which have their disadvantages) or weight (which stops giving after a certain point)?

By your logic, if Wilder is big for being light but lanky, is Mike Tyson small at 215 5'10" 71" reach?

For what little it's worth, I once knew a guy who'd met Tyson about a year previous (and had a photo to prove it) who said Tyson was my height as best he could remember. I'm exactly 5'10".

Maybe you two could agree that Marciano is a thalidomide baby and Wilder has Marfan syndrome.

It's true. He passed right by me flanked by his bodyguards at the Hopkins-Frank fjght in Phoenix in the 90's, and he was not really any taller than me. He's wide as a house, so there's that of course.

Makes sense. It seems reasonable to suppose that fighters average about an inch below their billed heights.

Aside from how these two would have done in the ring, that's just and uncomfortable picture, Sonny looks to intimidate and Rock seems to be a little unsettled by the whole thing.

Bringing up a disease ridden Ali is a terrible comparison.

Marciano did not look much smaller than Liston at all in that photo. Of course, Marciano would thin down to his perfect fighting weight and I believe Marciano would have gotten to Liston.

    Marciano by KO in 12

The way I see it is this, I've seen Marciano knocked down a few times but he was never in any real trouble from these flash knockdowns.

A prime Liston would be by far the biggest threat he ever faced, I imagine Marciano would taste the canvas at some point and I expect Liston to hurt him like no other.

This is Marciano we are talking about though, he had unreal determination and wouldn't be put away so easily like a Patterson. I think he weather's the storm and proceeds to give Liston a systematic beating. It would resemble the Louis fight, obviously though more competitive. The smaller Marciano would out work Sonny and slowly but surely Liston would crumble, he would be knocked out with a couple of rounds to spare.

I think Sonny is trying to intimidate the wrong guy. If you look Rocky has his hands in his pocket. They really wouldn’t be if Rocky was unsettled. He saw right through the scary face thing. Marciano was too crazy to be intimidated.

People forget Marciano was the much younger guy here..
