LOL probably right, the gullible bogans all lapped up his last performance knocking out a bum ranked in the 300's
Probably waiting till after tax time so the Bogan Sheeple have some disposable income to buy the PPV instead of buying baby formula or a 40 pack of horizons.
* The sad passing away of Aust Boxing Legend Wally Carr . I didn't know Wally Carr but i have a friend who knew him and said he was a top bloke . https://www.sbs.com.au/nitv/article/2019/04/13/boxing-legend-fights-very-end * Michael Zerafa tko 2nd rd over Les Sherrington. Zerafa returns in June and it looks like Zerafa is taking no chances as he awaits a big PPV $ with Tim Tszyu. * The ANBF has increased the minimum purse for Aust Champions fighting 10 x 3 rds from $ 3000 to $ 4500. * Wes Capper who recently lost MW world ranking ( inactivity ) returns in Perth against Filipino Arnel Tinampay . Should be a good workout as Arnel hasn't been stopped in 49 fights and has fought Dennis Hogan , Mark Lucas and Rocky Jervic. * HW Roger Izoniteri fighting on the same card. This is sad as his opponent Floyd Mason is 4 - 0 3 ko and it looks like Roger who has been ko 2 x and stopped 2 x in last 5 nights is now a stepping stone for young HW contenders trying to add a former well known boxer to CV.
Should be on the Junior Tszyu shortlist of prospective opponents. He was never going to stay retired. It was simply a matter of someone seeing value in offering him enough money to fight. Same with Ray Robinson a couple of weeks back. Going 10-rounds with experienced professionals like these would move an up-coming fighter's career forward enormously.
Great performance from Dennis Hogan today. Proved that he's one of the best Junior Middle's in the world & should tonight be a reigning world champion. Hope he gets another crack at the belt real soon. Would prefer if he fights for a vacant title b/c vested interests are going to prevent him from getting a decision against Mexican Mungo.
* Bilal Akkawy will fight former world title challenger Marco Antonio Perbon in Las Vegas May 2 of Canelo vs Jacobs fight week. This will be Perbon first fight since May 2017. * Sat May 18 two vacant Aust Boxing Titles up for grabs at Cessnock. SMW Joshua Jenkins vs Blake Travers. Super LW Dylan Emery vs Victor Odindo. * There are already talks of Hogan vs Munguia rematch being held in QLD. This would be huge. Stablemate Jeff Horn best sums up the result '' I feel for Dennis. He fought like a champ and deserved the win. " This content is protected * With Israel Adesanya victory at UFC 236 team Whittaker will push for a Trans Tasman clash for the UFC MW Title in Sydney in Aug. While Aust has never held two PPV in a yr , its understood the UFC will push to move it to Sydney if it receives Gov support. This would be a great fight to christen the new Bank West Stadium first fight night. George Ferocious Kambosos Jr. https://www.playersvoice.com.au/george-kambosos-jr-beat-me-you-gotta-kill-me/
Hi Pal what do you think of this recent development ? Banned NRL player Ben Barba is considering a career in boxing . Promoter Matt Rose has offered Barba a fight on the Tim Tszyu PPV card in May. The disgraced former NRL player could make as much as $ 20000. Considering Jack Brubaker is only getting $ 10000 this is a very generous offer.
I actually feel sorry for Barba what else is the bloke supposed to do. I doubt he has any qualifications. What he did was wrong but I don't see how it was the NRL's business to deregister him. Barba is pretty short so I imagine he will need to drop down to at least middleweight.
Do you guys think that Lucas Browne will beat Dave Allen this weekend? I would like him to but I am not confident. Browne has not looked good for a while. I know Allen isn't very good but he seems to have a good chin and Browne relies on his power to win most fights. Browne has looked very slow in his last couple of fights. He does look to be in good shape but has age caught up to him and slowed his reflex's and lose his punch resistance? I will be cheering for Browne and putting some money on him to get the KO.
I think Big Daddy is a solid bet. Just don't go too big. I favour him to win & he's paying $3.00 so I can understand anyone wanting to have a go. But you need to factor in that it's no certainty & we might happen to be wrong. Keep it sensible & hopefully we'll be cheering a win on Sunday morning.
Yes, I think it was a 6-rounder against a solid type. A fight like that is good for him & increases his chances of getting it done against Allen.
Allen beats Browne for me. I feel he'll catch him eventually as Browne's punch resistance isn't the best and Allen has an iron chin and won't get stopped. Allen by mid to late round stoppage.
