I can see Browne maybe getting dropped a few times, he has been put down quite a few times in his career. I think his best chance is landing a hard shot on Allen when he comes in for the finish. If I am not mistaken that is how he caught and finished Chageuv.
All depends on how he can take a shot these days. Really since Whyte he has looked pretty **** and I just can't see how he could win this.. Hopefully I'm wrong...
Browne Allen looks very even Steven to me . All depends if Browne got his fitness level right , if so got a ok chance .
Arnel Tinampay not da same fighter since Dennis Hogan Rocky Jerkic . Arnel Tinampay was on da old side against Mark Lucas . Wes Capper fighting a old an done Arnel , looking like a Little bit of a mismatch . Nothing there for him just a fight no title nothing . God bless Wally Carr RIP
* Have two corrections to make. Fox did have the Crawford vs Khan down for Sun last week with Boxing Special Sun in guide with no fight stated. It has now has car racing on . Very disappointing however the Lucas Browne fight still on and the WBSS still on for Sun 28. Any changes i will update or if somebody finds out pls post. * On one of the Aust Boxing site's they stated Viktor Agateljan won the Aust MW from Tej Singh. I mention this . My mistake and in fact it was Singh who won in a shut out. * I only came across this when i saw that Renold Quinlan has being calling out Michael Zerafa fight at MW or SMW. Dunghutti Zerafa showed in the Quillin fight he is not a MW. And then when i checked Boxrec they stated Singh was the Aust MW Champ. This would be a better fight for Dunghutti. * Aust HW Demsey Mckean fighting Solomon Haumono for vacant WBA interim Oceania Title June 8 Gold Coast. Winner will get a WBA world ranking but really how this fight sanctioned when Haumono is now 43 and hasn't fought for 2yrs ? * Aust FW Champ Jackson England returns May 30 Thunderdome 30 Perth. * Main Event now has Podcast. First episode Tim Tszyu reveals insight into his father training program and how he fought Wade Ryan with a broken hand and reveals his future plans. Worth a listen when you have the time. https://player.whooshkaa.com/episode?id=357883
Thanks for the corrections, Juppity. I think the outcome of Crawford v Khan is a foregone conclusion so no drama there for me. Tej was my pre-fight pick against the Armenian so I'm okay with that one also. I guess the jury is still out on whether interstaters can get a fair go in Victoria. I'm keen to see Demsey McKean improve his quality of recent opposition so to me Solomon Haumono is a step in the right direction. He's only been inactive for a couple of years, not ten like Victor Oganov & Roger Izon. It's also worth noting that announcing a fight with Haumono & actually getting him in the ring are two different things. I watched the first half of the Junior Tszyu podcast and there was some interesting stuff there that I hadn't heard before. I liked the story about when Kostya would get home from his morning run he would hit an old tyre with a sledge-hammer as part of his training regime waking up half the neighbourhood. No-one ever told him to shut up. Had to laugh at that one.
Just watched Muguia v Hogan. Hogan was robbed imo, had him winning 115-113 but felt he could have won by more. De La Hoya got his boy outta trouble there its hard to make a case for Munguia winning that fight.
I also considered that Ortiz was not able to knock Allen cold neither did Whyte. The other side of the coin is that Allen knew he was out of his depth in those two fights but when it comes to Browne he might be more inclined to stand and trade, that will be Brownes best shot of hurting and stopping him.
Gentlemen what are your official picks for Browne v Allen? Still haven't decided whether or not to include it in my weekly multi bet.
I think Big Daddy v Dave Allen is a 50/50 fight but the odds are lopsided. I'll take the lopsided odds on Big Daddy & be happy if he wins.
* Wild Card Fighter Rd 2 is on Jun 1 . Daniel Lewis will be fighting and he should be battle hardened. This content is protected * Aus WW Champ Tysinn Best fighting South Korean WW Champ In Duck Seo on big Broadbeach card Jun 8. * Is these educated plunges all does somebody have inside knowledge ? Sportsbet David Allen opened at $ 2.50 into $ 1.31 and Lucas Browne out from $ 1.78 to $ 3.28. Tim Tszyu opened at $ 1.55 into $ 1.22. Jack Brubaker open at $ 1.15 out to $ 1.28. Cameron Hammond in from $ 4 .50 into $ 3.45. Wouldn't bet on this fight with Brubaker way too short with his vulnerability to cuts. Main Event Podcast Ep 2 Lucas Browne interview on David Allen fight. https://player.whooshkaa.com/episode?id=360714
That's a real compliment to young Daniel Lewis. Being drafted in as a sparring partner for Daniel Jacobs after one pro fight. He's a real talent & will go far. Looking at the size difference with Jacobs there, Junior Middle is the division for him. The best division with the best fighters in Australian boxing just got better. I saw Tysinn Best's last fight & he looked really good. You could put him in with the Jack Brubaker v Cameron Hammond winner. I have followed the odds blowing out for Lucas Browne against Dave Allen. My thoughts are does someone know something we don't? That's why I would only go small on that one. You only need to go small on Lucas Browne for a decent result if he wins. I think Tim Tszyu is a reasonably safe bet but at $1.22 is too short to make it worth my while. I'll just enjoy a good Australian title fight. I favour Jack to win but the short odds for him are ridiculous. Cameron Hammond is a well credentialed fighter from a strong gym. He's going to turn up well prepared & ready to win. If the odds stay the way they are, Hammond may be worth a speculator. Or I might just enjoy what's going to be a very good fight.
