Allen should win, if he's in top physical shape his work rate and youth should be enough. I was going to say if he loses its career over but with dave Allen he's such a character I think he will make a good living regardless even as a journeyman.
I was listening to him on that boxing life stories podcast...he didn’t sound great in terms of the fluidity of his speech. I know he’s from Donny but he sounded like a retired sixty fight veteran not a twenty odd year old kid.
Why all the hate towards boxers ? Browne is a former world champion Rightly or wrongly making this a good name to have his record if Allen wins! Lucas Browne isn’t a big ticket seller Dave Allen has a big social media following sells ticks casual want him to do well because of social media! I want him to do well because let’s face it if we want every boxer to Loma/usyk/Crawford/Spence/fury then they casuals would not watch boxing and you would never get big fights it’s hard enough to get the likes of Loma/tank fury/AJ because of the political agenda in boxing now imaging 0 money From casual fans the “hardcore” fans would struggle to see a good fight So just watch/enjoy any level of boxing or don’t watch and stop complaining it’s that simple
I think he's only got a maximum of 5 fights left in him so hopefully he can get out before it's too late as I have to agree that I do find listening to him slightly disturbing at times, he's far too young and not had nearly enough amateur and pro fights to be sounding like that. If he gets knocked out he'll never box again, that's how I see it, whether that comes in this fight or the next I don't know but if he goes up in levels I think he's a KO waiting to happen. Good luck to both of them though, I know Browne could be labelled as a cheat but I think he's genuinely a nice guy and Allen, as annoying as he can be, is a decent enough bloke and they've both conducted themselves impeccably in the build up and both look like they've trained properly and taken this fight very seriously.
Did anyone watch the Yoka fight? He took and absolute hammering in that fight against a huge, roided up super heavyweight which I think was the turning point for his brain. Although ironically he has been looking better since that defeat.
He wasn't a former world champion. He was a regular champion who then got busted for PEDs. He's also shown that he is less than a shadow of the fighter he once was; his name value is greatly diminished now. It's a very low level fight, but it is quite well matched so in that regard it's perfectly acceptable. The winner will get fed to Chisora and that'll be the last we hear of them. As for your last paragraph, that's stupid. People have a right to complain about a product if they're unhappy with it. Take it or leave it is a frankly dreadful attitude for other fans to encourage.
Unhappy with a product after they bought it? But why would you be unhappy with a product that is still on the shelf, unpurchased by yourself? That's like being unhappy with a waterfall... it just exists, not really to please you.

Depends on the quality of the Uni boxer, i know of a Met Police boxer who has been used by a few pros for sparring.
