At the moment Dillian Whyte is struggling to find an opponent that would sell on pay per view for his next fight. Sky and Matchroom are also under pressure to finalise their first UK set pay per view of 2019. Whyte v Bellew would fit perfectly as both have recent pay per view success. The only sticking point would be to get Bellew to come out of retirement. I feel he misses fighting more than he lets on and with some persuasion he might be tempted. They both know how to sell a fight and the pay per view would sell really well. A lot of people would see it as a massacre in the making but I reckon it would capture the public imagination as the Haye fights did. What do the folk on here think about this?

Nothing about this makes any sense. Leave Bellew alone... his marriage was on the brink of divorce... he is not risking it against a fighter he knows he will lose too and not make much cash out off. Use your brain before posting bro friendly advise.
No. Sorry to the join the other naysayers but this is a pretty meaningless fight. Then again, almost everyone else is tied up at the moment, so it wouldn't surprise me if it happened. Big mismatch though.
I think Whytes next fight will be one of the following top WBC 15: Povetkin - the toughest and most proven opponent available. Ortiz - has a high ranking despite questionable resume. Rivas - Unheard fighter coming off one notable win against Ortiz's career best win. Kabayel - European champ. Kownacki - Easy nights work for Whyte. Hearn said there are 5 options for Whyte as opponent and I am guessing its the above.
I hope TB stays retired but as we've recently seen with Wlad the amounts currently being spent on boxing mean that you can't discount him being tempted back. One thing that may entice Bellew to return would be the emergence of a David Hayesque opponent. A big name but with a drastically diminished capacity to inflict damage. Andre Ward is the only one that comes to mind. Dillian Whyte is emphatically not that guy. Not a chance TB would step in a ring with him in my view.
With Bellew turning 37 years old this year and as inactive as he is I wouldn't bet on it, since I don't think his stamina would hold up long enough, but I could see his cleverness and handspeed giving Whyte a very hard time for 6 or 7 rounds until he tires and Whyte lands flush on him.
Last time out Bellew took a horrible KO. It would have to take serious money to get him out of retirement to take another one. Whyte would murder Bellew.
