And I’m not even joking. Dave Allen is so bad that he will make Lucas Browne look like a boxer with good fundamentals. Browne will make Allen miss all night by simply stepping back and catching him with the occasional shot to win rounds.
Possibly. Dave Allen is really flat footed and Browne can box competently behind a jab at times. He might elect to win the fight on points, knowing he can't knock Allen out.
If anyone can legitimately knock out Allen it's Browne. He might suck in the skills department, but he's a heavy handed MF.
That’s precisely it. I watched the entire livestream on IG of Browne v Sokolowksi and after the third round Browne made that simple adjustment of understanding Kamil’s range and simply stepping back from each shot to easily avoid getting hit. And Allen’s shots are far more telegraphed than Kamil’s. The shot that Allen landed to KO Webb was as if it was in slow motion. I’d be flabbergasted if this fitter and leaner version of Browne gets hit like that against Allen no matter how old and shot Browne is. Allen also gasses just as quickly as anyone in the Heavyweight division not named David Price. If Allen doesn’t land a KO shot within the first three rounds, it should be an easy win for Browne although it wouldn’t shock me to see a Matchroom brown envelope influenced scorecard from the judges.
