I don't think Crolla had a chance to be brave. He was just simply outclassed (no shame in that either), way in over his head. Obviously Sky use the heroic brave card, however this was an example where that statement didn't fit.

 

He was outclassed, had he taken more chances he’d have been knocked out sooner...not sure what more he could’ve done...his style isn’t to march forward so would’ve just played even more into lomachenko’s hands...

He could beat some cans and wait until Campbell gets hold of a belt if he wants another payday.

Unless he needs the money I’d fight someone beatable and go out with a win, then retire.

I think he could get an all Manchester fight in Manchester, against Terry Flanagan, if Flanagan is able to drop down in weight or they fight at a catchweight .

 

Retire imo.

Didn't look great against Burns and against Yordan he looked a shot fighter to be compared to how he was before. Go back and watch that fight, he did little experienced things, tippy tappy shots when needed to nick a round near the end of it.

He's now had a bad KO loss but he's also just fought at the highest level.

He's done everything, fought at all levels, had a nice rivalry with Derry Matthew's in terms of fights, same with Linares.

He's been a world champion, fought multi-weight champions and now fought a future ATG and top 5 P4P fighter as a main event across the pond.

What more is there for him really to do? No one wants to go out with a loss, but he could leave with his head held high that he finished at the very top level, achieving a bucket load in the process.

Always liked him and don't want to see him fight again, if he decides to fight again and loses, what was the point of having the fight if he wants to go out on a win.

Just think the time is right now for him to hang them up and look back on a fantastic career.

 

Ant was disappointing. He was in defence mode all the way thru the 4rds. He was bordering on "in his shell" all night. He threw one or two shots, that was it.
Joe saying we've picked out flaws in lomas style, well nothing I saw in the fight or heard from the conerwork suggest you had a plan to try beat Loma. Ant did far worse than I expected. I knew he was never going to win but I thought he would last longer and give it a go at some point.
A fight with Terry would be a good way to go out. It would do manc arena and another good payday.
Apparently Eddie has said no to Terry recently, since he's split with Frank. Maybe it's Eddie been calculating and he's trying to get Terry for a cheaper price.

 

kojaks nailed it, what else is there for him to do. I don't think he has a chance of getting a world title again and I don't see any big fights that generate him a lot of money. Maybe he could fight Selby if he wanted one more

After having his brain shaken like that, I would hope that both Eddie and Gallagher strongly advise him to retire. He also got a good payday as well, so there’s no excuse.

In terms of his performance, there was simply nothing he would have been able to do with the gap in ability. If he came forward, he probably would have been stopped in the first round and maybe in even more brutal fashion.

 

It was a terrible mismatch from the start, crolla is barely above british level and lomachenko is top three p4p.

 

4 way tournament with Turbo Terry Flanaghan, Ricky Burns, Lee Selvy and 2 dolla Crolla. Winner is the most boring fighter on the planet.

 

To be fair there was nothing he could have done different, he was, as everybody else knew was totally up against it, I'm not going to criticize him or his performance either for that matter.

His future all depends on him really, but whatever he decides to do I wish him well.

He achieved his dream of becoming world champion and deserves nothing but respect.
