It was a great fight. I think the great thing about this fight is how both guys came out with the same thought in mind and let their punches go, but it was not a sloppy brawl. There were sharp punches landed. A lot of people mention other Hagler fights and say well this guy lasted longer with Marvin. In this kind of fight usually it will not go even one round the way they were swinging. It was inevitable that it not last long. I know the guys on the broadcast said it won't last very long at this pace I think it was Al Michaels.. And I was listening to the radio between rounds during the fight in 1985, since I was not watching it (sitting at the same desk I was at that night) and Rory Markus who did the in between rounds for KFWB or KNX I forget which station, said it won't last very long if they keep this up. Anyone knew it would not last long. They put it all out there, which is why it is remembered so well. And Hagler was tired at the beginning of the 3rd. He was starting to miss. His arms were tired. He was tired. .

Greatest fight of all time? Or just greatest round of all time? Man, 34 years ago is a long time. Sucks getting old. But at least Hagler-Hearns never gets old...

It is a long time ago now. The Petronelllis and Steward are gone. Fights seem to stand through time, even though a lot has happened in those years.

First 3 rds Pryor-Arguello. 1st 3 rds Gomez-Pintor. 1st 3 rds Limon-Chacon 4. All better. Plus each kept the intensity for 11-12 more rds. Sorry. But true. If someone could put the first 3 rds of each up there behind the 3 from Hagler-H you will see. Pretty cool anyway. 1-3 of each in a row. Which is better? Maybe someone could make a thread with the 4fights and a poll at the end.
