    Hey guys,

Here's a rare, non Heavyweight thread in order to even out the front page!

Lets talk about those flyweights, or bantamweights, or lightweights or middleweights.

    Anything non Heavyweight is allowed!

Also, the name 'Rocky Marciano' is banned.

Edit: 'Brockton Blockbuster' is now also banned.
    'Primo Carnera' is now banned.
    'Sonny liston' is now banned.

The Brockton Blockbuster would have been an amazing CW, see what I did there......

Well i haven't watched them, so I've nothing to say.

Watched the first two Israel Vazquez bouts though. Tremendous stuff!

A little thought I had in my head, the defense of Lomachenko reminds me of the come forward defense of Chavez and Canizales.

Any one else see this? Just me?

I don’t see it, especially Chavez but that does not make you wrong. I do think he has some of that adaptability of Arguello. I remember Mancini saying he felt like he was being analyzed and dissected even when he was doing well. I feel like Loma is just studying you through the first round, probing for weaknesses after that and when he finds it he goes for the kill.

For me it's the way he turns his head and subtly slips shots. But that's just me.

That probing lead hand reminds me of Chang, Harada and especially Duran, although I don't feel he's as good with it as Duran.

A little thought in my head the defense of Mark Johnson reminds me of the patience and movement of Pea Floyd and Hopkins. Anyone else

Oh yeah, I'm down. Now let's kick this off with a hypothetical matchup of Gene Tunney vs James Toney at a catch weight of 180.

    :devil2:

Oh look at that, this thread already died while the multiple threads about he-who-must-not-be-named are absolutely thriving
