Problem with that line of reasoning is that you still have to demonstrate that his increased earning power is related to the rubbish coming out of his mouth, as opposed to other factors like an increased interest in the HW division following the departure of Wlad and the emergence of AJ or the advent of DAZN etc. Even then you would have to accept that earnings are the only barometer for how to judge conduct.

I don’t have a problem with what Wilder says, providing that if Wilder gets “Stevensoned” in the ring everybody is cool with it and mocks Wilder thereafter.

Which won’t happen, some members supporting Wilder in this thread, well if Wilder got brain damaged in his next fight and was mocked for it, well no doubt some members would post stating stuff like, “a lot of sick people in this thread mocking a injured boxer”, yet where were they when Wilder was wishing this kinda stuff upon others? Yep they said clearly its no big deal, which as I say is cool as long as you don’t have a problem with Wilder getting “stevensoned” in the ring in future.

All depends on who dies. For example, I felt the great God of karma struck the chord of justice when Stevenson got punched into a coma.

    Wasn’t cool with Tyson,

    Not cool with Wilder.

Yes many who loved Tyson didn’t care when Tyson made such statements but do care when Wilder does the same thing, so what?

Those would be idiots correct? Fair point.

Tyson is a diagnosed bipolar psychotic crazy man, what's Wilders excuse? Need to make some headlines? He is lumbering jackass for saying this stuff.

No, he's correct, that's a false equivalency and well beneath you, @kirk.

Deontay, outside the stuff with his daughter (which is harrowing, being a parent myself I can only imagine how rough that was to go through) hasn't gone through a fraction of what Mike did in his life. Mike was coping with very real mental health issues exacerbated by the rampant mistreatment and exploitation of the era he came up in when he issued forth virtually all of his outrageous sound bytes...Wilder, on the other hand, is just a bored, stupid attention whore.

There's a pretty clear difference between Mike blurting out "I wanna eat your children" while all but frothing at the mouth in the heat of the moment at the Lewis presser, and Deontay released a premeditated statement like this because he considers it a provocative way to self-promote. I think you're probably able to see that, if you think about it.

Actually, its you that very clearly has no idea as to what my post is addressing.

It quite literally has nothing to do with what you posted.

So making a general comparison of their behavior is a false equivalency because... Tyson had a rough childhood? Ehh... I disagree.
    ...

"If he doesnt die it doesnt count."

"Gonna kill this mother****er." On a generic tv interview

"I was disappointed" (that he didnt kill anyone in the ring)

"I want to push his nose bone through his skull."

    Ect...

    Whats the excuses for these?

    ....

Anyone who cant see the blatant irony in Tyson fans ragging on Wilder for this, I really dont know what to say. Its about as clear as it gets.

And pretending we are privy to the sum of Wilders mental health (we arent), while then excusing Mikes actions because of his, doesnt make it any less so.

    ...

    Its beneath me? Interesting.

So its beneath me, to cheekily mock the irony and hypocrisy of Tyson fans who hate on Wilder for his behavior?

That claim and position seems like an overreaction.

Lastly... the issue of irony and my post aside, for the record, the extreme level of assumptions taking place as to what Wilders mental health is, seems a bit too much.

Wilder is almost the epitome of a bipolar individual, and has always shown to be pretty manic.

I guess Im not understanding why its being assumed its an act.

Its all well and good the Alabama gobshite spouting the usual BS, but given how hard and incorrectly Wilder punches, and also how he has a nasty habit of punching to the back of the head, what would the actual consequences be for himself and the sport as a whole, if Breazeale was to suffer a fatal blow?

This is why this kind of talk is grossly irresponsible, no matter who's uttering these words. Wilder apparently has a deep desire to ingratiate himself with the boxing fans and public in general and this BS just aint gonna cut it.

Everytime time this absolute ****ing tool opens his pie hole, i just get more and more desperate for someone to ram their fist down it..... Come on Breazeale.... YOU CAN DO IT...!!!!!!!

I honestly think he's got some brain damage and it's adversely affected his personality. I swear he didn't use to be this dumb or erratic. He reminds me of Bowe in a way.

This. Wilder certainly isn’t stupid, but he is extremely stubborn, but this could be said about a lot of fighters.

There's only one reason why people would be outraged and it's not because of what he said, it's because of a certain reason that I will not explain in detail atm. We all know the reason however, it's very clear.

Even Ray Charles could see why.
