Moore at 39/40 would not go past 5 rounds with Lewis. Lastarza was a protected built up fighter who avoided the iron of the division 3 fights before facing Marciano he was floored and beaten by a light heavyweight journeyman, Rocky Jones, Lennox would eat him alive!
Yeah Cokkell was durable ,except when he was ko'd by a middleweight Randy Turpin!

We’ll just have to agree to disagree about Moore.

Also, if Lastarza is a protected fighter than you could call almost any fighter with good management behind them a protected fighter, since Lennox wasn’t exactly fighting killers on his way up and got knocked out by McCall, who Orlin Norris outboxed.

Cannot Co-sign this, Louis is one of them, but cannot agree with Dempsey being top 2 or Marciano being top 3, but we differ
Mine goes (taking into account Power, punch structure ect.)

    1. Sonny Liston
Raw power is top 3, behind Foreman and Shavers, he structures his punches better than both, he's also deceptively quick.

    2. George Foreman
Raw Power is just unbelievable, despite popular opinion, he doesn't do his cringe worthy swing for hills stereotype. He actually threw decent punches. And each one could KO a bull (and did Frazier)

    3. Mike Tyson
Puts his punches together incredibly quick, the 3rd quickest ever imo. He doesn't punch as hard as those ^ two, but his punches were structured very well.

A man who claims to be so intelligent says some dumbass **** on here, you do know none of those opponents would ever face Lewis as none would be in his weight division. Get a grip will you......

Longer than Billy Joiner and Gerard Zech would go with a prime Marciano.

If Lastarza isn't a protected fighter tell me who he beat?
A damaged Layne, and a lhvy Bucceroni who had also beat him. Lastarza got his title shot on the basis of beating Layne whom Marciano had ruined and having a controversial fight with Rocky prior to Marciano winning the title.
The list of ranked contenders Lastarza avoided is a very long one!

Focus on the word PRIME. Then realize Liston was not in his when he fought either Joiner or Zech!
Whereas Marciano was the reining champion and definitely in his prime when he fought both those I named!
    Missing -point-point missing ! lol
