Which fighter would you consider the most skilled in terms of textbook technique, but perfect execution?
My 1st thought, followed by J.Louis. Sal Sanchez, Prime Hagler, and Leonard, Benitez, J.Napoles was perfect with form. W.Gomez before he realized he did have Bazookas in his fist.
Feel like modern boxing wouldn’t be what it is today without Joe Louis and his technique and success. But Mayweather was amazing fighting many different ways and seemed almost flawless in everything he did
Old Bhops did everything correctly from a technical perspective. He could basically do it all. He could fight coming forward ( Keith Holmes fight ), fight on the outside utilising a good jab and footwork ( Echolls, Trinidad, Pavlik ) or both at once ( Glenn Johnson ). Evander Holyfield is the most versatile fighter over 200 pounds I have seen. Like Hopkins he could fight coming forwards or backwards. Cheers All.
I'll add Benny Leonard and Ezzard Charles to the above listed names. If were to believe Eddie Futch then Holeman William's also deserves a shout.
