Charles was absent from profesional boxing from March 1943 until February 1946. That's three years. Your just making yourself look foolish saying it isn't.

Baker was #2 ranked and won an elimination...but hes no good on Archie Moores record because he wasnt #1?
This is hair splitting on a whole new level. The guy was rated between 1950 and 1956 wasnt he?

Actually after the fight Louis stated:

"He hits harder than Schmeling. ... This kid is tough enough to beat anyone"

    Source:
https://books.google.com/books?id=s...s kid is tough enough to take anybody&f=false

You never addressed why Moore said Satterfield didn't hit as hard, but Charles did

Okay you haven't the balls to admit you are wrong and instead now resort to deliberate lying.

Is this your ****ing post or not?

"The guy was in the army for three years and didn’t fight anybody in 1945, 1944, 1943."

1943 Jan 7 Jimmy Bivins Cleveland, Oh L 10 Mar 31 Lloyd Marshall Cleveland, Oh LK 8
    1944
Dec 13 Stanley Coicz Rome, Italy W 3
Dec 16 Adolph Barlow Rome, Italy W 3
-The previous 2 bouts were part of the Second Inter-Allied
Championships, Professional Light Heavyweight Division; Charles
    won the competition
    1944-45
-Charles served in the United States Army

    You disgrace yourself!

You would have to ask Moore why he said that ! Moore named Sheppard and Durelle as the 2 biggest punchers he faced.Louis tempered that remark with the caveat that he was younger against Schmeling and could take more punishment beacause of it.Something Wass refutes.
I'm quite prepared to believe Marciano hit harder than Schmeling, that would have been my own opinion.

And still they are lamely attemting to convince themselves, lol
You can't make this **** up.

The worrying thing is, a few of these disciples are the same clowns who embarrassed themselves in the Bowe / Carnera thread.

    Comedy gold.

Moore was bound to say that afterall Durelle hit him nearly 4 years after Marciano battered him in to submission.

Like you said pal Moore just couldn't take the shots any more being at an older age.......

Well just look at the results of the fight, I think it's fair to say the old Mongoose was suffering from amnesia when he stated that. You have a source for that quote anyway?

My point still stands with Durelle, he can't possiblly have hit harder than Rocky because Archie was even more past it then.
