Given his recent movie release 'Shakur and Grayton Need Dates', I am wondering (not enough to spring for the PPV) if the crowd at Saturday's Crawford-execution-of-Khan will boo and hiss at Stevenson during his ring entrance and intro. Or have most people not seen the video or don't care, and will support and cheer the Olympic fighter regardless?
Come on, it's a boxing crowd, they don't care much about street fighting etc. They are there to see some action in the ring. Obviously, Stevenson and his comrade fighting dudes and girls in the street, is stupid and wrong but it's not exactly career ending. Young guy at 21 years old, he's made a mistake, let's hope for his sake he doesn't do it again. Let's hope Stevenson gets some good guidance, especially from Andre Ward who he is close to, and then is able to focus on having a glorious career and living a good, honest and clean lifestyle.
dude is going to jail, no way a prosecutor drops the case with the footage out. ol bob wont be able to save this sack of crap from jail.
I think he should get a lengthy or lifetime ban from the alphabet orgs. That will never happen though. One may say "awww he is a kid, give him a chance!". No way, he is 21, and he has a responsibility as a boxer. Standing over someone slumped on the ground and firing unanswered shots to the head is worthy of jail time, and the removal of his boxing license. Holler back Shakur, I was a fan who wanted success for you, but your true character has shown.
katie has a chance if they fought. you are right, things do happen, a thing that will happen soon is that shakur ends up in jail.
People still cheered Floyd after Floyd was convicted of uppercutting Josie Harris and imprisoning their son Silence of the Lambs style.
I'd be willing to wager if these were two white gypsies in the video the narrative would be completely different
If how people treated boxers during the ringwalk depended on their outside shenanigans, no one would watch boxing or show up to fights.
I'll be there live, so I guess I'll find out. But being that it's at the Garden, and that Shakur is from nearby Newark, this is basically a home fight for him. I expect cheers.
