For sure, I had put down his "economical" demeanor down to part of what made the lack of gassing plausible in the past but was still fairly shocked at his work rate. No doubt this, or PEDs alone would make him able to do what he did but if one of the parts of the puzzle are very effective and also illegal then it is clearly going to be a thing that elevates his game into another level of effective in a fight.

Ah ok, wasn't entirely sure :)

Miller was selected- he didn't earn his shot - because they felt stylistically he was going to Joshua look good on his big MSG American debut.

Yeah well, they make mistakes when selecting opponents all the time don't they?

I don't see why this would of been one. A fat ex kickboxer with no real wins of any note whose most famous for having a big mouth.

I've seen Miller's last 11 matches live, and 4 others on YT, I'm pretty well schooled on him, trust me, he's far better than many of you seem to think he is. I got the same responses when I said Horn was a style issue for Pacquiao and Sor Rungvisai was going to beat Roman. Even when the guys I say are going to present issues don't win, they still end up..... presenting issues. Which is all I said on the matter.

Against the level of competition he was facing he should of looked decent in those fights. For me he would of been found out in a major way but looks like we don't get to find out now because he couldn't keep it clean.

And with Joshua you do seem to have a bit of a blind spot, it wouldn't be the first time you've said someone's going to pose him problems for them to do anything but :fighting02:

I said Whyte, Povetkin, klitsckhko and Parker would give him issues. They all did. I said he'd KO Takam, Breazeale, Molina, with little issue, he did. The only one I wasn't logical about was Charles Martin, but for what its worth, AJ hadn't beaten anyone of note at the time other than Whyte, so it was a risk I was willing to take.

As far as Miller goes, his last 6 or 7 opponents have been higher caliber wins than anything Breazeale, Takam, Molina, Martin has had recently. You're badly underrating him.

If Miller is out it surely will force Joshua’s hand to fight Ortiz. Makes the most sense at this stage.

Fwiw, I backed Charles Martin to give Joshua more trouble than he did - and stand by the outcome as an "anything can happen". I expected AJ to win, but I think Martin really got spooked by the occasion and just wasn't there. Not that he's a world beater, but if you were going to need to have your absolute best day to be competitive and then had a howler - what happened is what would happen
