    And then bring up this
    And this
And yet you can't believe Archie Moore's word
Looks like someone's word is only valuable if it helps Rock

You ,lied that's the bottom line. When corrected you still tried to spin it and wriggle out of your error without admitting it, that constitutes a lie. If you are unhappy with it the remedy is in you own hands ,stop lying, when you **** up have the balls to say, oh I got that wrong.Everyone makes mistakes but most of us admit them.

No no no, I'm just playing by my pals rules.

We can all act the idiot can't we?

I believe Moore's words just like I believe Walcott's, we can't have it both ways.

You will find Mathews in the Light Heavyweight section of CBZ.
He is there and not among the heavyweights for a reason. One that has gone, like most things ,over your head.

I didn’t lie. Perhaps I should have checked the detail and worded it another way. Charles really Didn’t win an official fight for three years. This is the truth!

And this is because he was absent for practically three years. If the word “practically” makes the sentence completely honest but less sensational then please comfort yourself in the fact that Charles didn’t just “practically” win for three years, he officially didn’t win for three whole years.

All of this ball hang is an enormous diversion from accepting Charles was not a better fighter between the years 1943 and 1946 than he was after 1946.

What are your memories of that one Mac if you care to share them?

I'm impressed by Martins performance against Liston. He was brave, persistent and for his size a hell of a puncher.

When the top lightheavyweight contender fights the lightheavyweight champion in a heavyweight fight is it strictly a fight between heavyweights?

If Charles is this eternal lightheavyweight the rule must work for other fighters.

I wonder if the reason you can’t allow this has something to do with not wanting Liston to have become champion against a former lightheavyweight?

It was a rockem- sockem fight. Spencer hadn't been living the life. he had natural talent with fast hands but wasn't dedicated.Martin was an underated hitter.who never got the breaks,he got a badly lacerated lip against Ellis in the eliminator tournament which put him on the sidelines. Then, just as he was being lined up to try for big things after koing Sonny, it was discovered he had suffered detached retina in that fight and he was forced to retire.

But Patterson wasn't the top lightheavyweight contender. He'd been ranked at heavyweight for 6 months.
