This content is protected States that his team may not think he has enough time to get ready, in discussions. Harder fight for Joshua? I'm not so sure but is the next best fight there for him.
just listened to it... i would take ortiz over miller any day only because of wilder fans if wilder fans didn't kiss wilder's ass so much after the senior citizen ortiz fight then i wouldn't care for it
Ortiz would be silly to pass up this opportunity, Miller was getting $6.5 mill for this fight, I assume Ortiz would get the same based on what Hearn said and at 40 years of age officially he doesn't have time to waste waiting for Joshua who will be trying to unify with Wilder or fight Fury and dealing with his mandatories. Take the fight at 6 weeks notice or wait another 2-3 years and be shot or close to it when you do get another title shot, or lets be more truthful, "if" he gets a shot.
Exactly, Ortiz would be the worlds biggest idiot to pass this up at his age and stage in his career. He will never get another chance.
Miller's failed test really gets the wheels turning. I can see Bob Arum working the phones behind the scenes. Arum and ESPN have Fury, but Fury doesn't have any recognizable belt. Ortiz isn't rated by the WBO. Fury is rated #4 by the WBO. Whyte is rated #1 by the WBO. (Miller #3.) I could see Arum getting in the ear of someone at the WBO and asking/bribing them not to sanction Joshua-Ortiz. So, in the event Ortiz pulls the upset, the WBO belt would be vacated and Whyte and Fury could fight for the vacant title (Schwarz is the WBO's #2). Put a pin in this post if Ortiz-Joshua gets signed. Arum will view this as an opportunity to get Fury a vacant belt. Of course, Ortiz has to win.
Ortiz is easily the most well known in America on the short list that Hearn made, but Kownacki is most likely a more realistic opponent.
