"Stay busy fight?" He'll have been out of the ring for nine months. (LOL)

If they replace the opponent and push the date back, he'll be out even longer.

He hasn't been busy at all.

Joshua needs a big fight. For all of Miller's faults, he was a character you could market a fight around. They weren't pushing this as a "stay busy" fight. This was Joshua's big American Debut.

They either need to make a big splash with Luis Ortiz, who U.S. fans know and who would be seen as a legit challenge, or they need to pull up stakes and take Joshua back to the UK where he can fight anyone.

All cancellations suck. But this one is bad for Joshua because he's been out for so long and because he was trying to crash a new market.

I think Hearn will be tempted to go with Hunter, because he's from the U.S. and an easy fight to sign, but Hunter is a nobody here and he's a little more than a cruiserweight himself.

    Miller really screwed them over.

People keep including Pulev's name, but that was a pretty bad cut he suffered against Dinu, wasn't it?

    I hope it's Ortiz.

Otherwise, they should sue Miller for ruining their promotion and go back to the UK and try again later.

Miller screwed himself over, kiss that 6 Mill good buy.

6 Mill to a Brooklyn native is like 600 Mill

Not really. Brooklyn is one of the most expensive cities to live in the United States. It was a hole a couple decades ago. Now it's one of the trendiest places to live.

$6 million in Brooklyn is like $60,000.

$6 million in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is like $600 million.

Not really, because not every Brooklyn Native is that rich, the rich ones are affluent business individuals from outside the city much like Londoners.

Besides we all know Millers life story, and most Brooklyn natives are no where near rich.

Jarrell Miller earns hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. He doesn't come off as well-off because he lives in one of the most expensive cities in the United States.

That's my point. You said $6 million to someone from Brooklyn was like $600 million. It's not. $6 million doesn't buy a whole lot in Brooklyn. That's all.

Yeah stay busy is exactly what it is in terms of competition. This fight for Joshua is to keep the ring rust off.

I know how the fight was being pushed as Joshua big American debut but you didn't actually think Miller was any real competition did you?

Let's put it this way, Jarrell Miller would waste Michael Hunter. Michael Hunter isn't a legit world heavyweight title challenger. We all know that.

I'd prefer it if Joshua fought Luis Ortiz or just went back to the UK and fought Whyte again, which would be another big fight.

I don't want to watch Joshua fight someone who did okay against Usyk for a couple rounds. That does nothing for anyone. If that's the bar, then fight Usyk.

Joshua is in his prime. He shouldn't take off NINE MONTHS and then come back against Hunter.

He's basically wasted a year of his prime, if that's the case.

No you are misunderstanding my point, Miller has a Brooklyn mentality... he will always cherish every penny in his eye... he grew up with nothing... people like that treat money differently.

    He was broke as ****.

6 Million is a big deal to his Brooklyn broke mentality....

Just like people who started with nothing and become successful don't splurge because they recognize the importance of it.

Like the film " Pursuit of Happiness"

Yes, when I think of Jarrell Miller, and his loin cloth trunks, and his bedazzled robes, and his gluttonous appetite, and his PED popping bans, and his throwing away MILLIONS hoping to cheat his way to a win, I see a crying, aging Will Smith in Pursuit who recognizes the importance of a dollar. (LOL)

Don't believe the Matchroom profiles, brother.

He's been a pro athlete in two sports who blows his money as fast as he can make it. (And now he's blown it before he even made it.)

Like I said, I don't know how Hearn could ever work with him again. Miller really screwed Hearn over this time.

This fight was to showcase Joshua to an American audience. With Miller and Joshua having the altercation at the Povetkin face off, there was a back story to work off in terms of a grudge to help add to the promotion. That is all.

Whether Miller would beat Hunter or who ever is irrelevant. Miller would not have beaten Joshua.

I agree with you about Ortiz being the best of rest. I actually think that's a more competitive fight than Miller. I also agree that pushing the fight back to another date wouldn't be good for Joshua as he has already been out of the ring for so long. I just think at this point fighting anybody, Hunter, Knownacki etc is better than not fighting on that date in June.

It won't be Whyte that's a big fight in the UK.

Ortiz and Pulev would be a step up from Miller IMO, Kownacki and Hunter would just about be acceptable given the circumstances. Charr would be an absolute mockery.

I can't believe Hearn even floated Charr's name, to be honest.
