Let me translate that for him: 'I want to fight a bum instead of getting a 7 figure payday and a loss on my record because I don't want a loss on my record and I'm scared of getting beat up'
I am going to be brutally honest. All these heavyweights are pussies. 6 Million plus on the line and a shot at 3 world titles, 6 weeks is more than enough for these guys to get in shape and have a crack, so what if you lose your 0... you will be richer and it will take you MUCH longer to access that kind of money IF EVER fighting Joshua. For someone like Whyte that fight is always available, for someone like Kownacki, Charr, Hunter, Ortiz, Rivas... this is a ONCE in a lifetime oppurtunity and minimal chance they can climb up to AJ in future if they refuse now. Many of us here would get in the ring with Joshua get beat up and take 6 million and we are not even pro's.
Making HOW much money for that????????? Chump change. Imagine beating AJ (or the chance too) it is WIN WIN, even if you lose you get paid 10 times more than you will ever make, and if you win you can command a title showdown with Wilder.
In other news Andy Ruiz was offered the fight. Later, At a local Burger King, Ruiz confirmed it's not enough time to prepare.
Let's not beat around the bush, money is everything in the heavyweight division, turning down 6 Million + given the situation of the top 5 replacements is RIDICULOUS. Wilder don't make that money.
I don't know how much mulla he will be getting for an AJ bout, but the bottom line is, he doesn't feel like 6 weeks will be enough and I can accept that.
Kownacki is a G. Could have easily taken the easy money and lay down like Martin but is clearly pursuing greatness by his own plans.
Let's face it guys, the HW division is in shambles. Fury and Wilder are blatantly ducking each other (and anyone else with a pulse). AJ can't get anyone with a pulse in the ring despite paying millions.
