Yes, it's here now. And the truth is, there aren't a lot of quality HW's. This won't be his only shot at a title. Nothing wrong with wanting a full training camp to face the champ.

Don't be surprised when Diamond Boy is the only fighter on that shortlist who is up for the task

    Dear Boxing Fans,

there are internal negotiations taking place regarding a fight in June between Mahmoud Charr and Anthony Joshua. I am very happy about this and I am up for the challenge. I’m ready to go and fight Anthony Joshua and bring home the victory.

As the # 1 WBA and WBA reigning world champion, I’m the most worthy opponent for Anthony Joshua. I am the suitable and official challenger. For Joshua’s honor, it’s important for him to fight against the # 1 of the WBA rankings in the world.

Hearn should offer the fight to Usyk.

Joshua vs. Usyk at Madison Square Garden.

That would be a big deal for everyone involved. The fighters. The Nework (DAZN). The fans.

Usyk and Joshua are both training for fights on the east coast days apart. There are no roadblocks to this happening.

Time to make lemonade out of Miller's lemons.

Usyk's team and himself have chosen the slower route to the title, that's nothing to do with Hearn and I don't understand why you believe it does? Not to mention he's already headlining a card himself and fighting in under a month and has said nothing about challenging Joshua.

    Nothing to do with Hearn?

He's fighting on a Hearn-promoted card in Maryland on DAZN seven days before Joshua's fight in New York.

And the Usyk fight was just moved to Maryland like a week ago. It was originally going to be in Chicago. But Hearn moved it.

    It's a four-hour drive to New York.

Offer Usyk the fight. See if he takes it.

Think he prefers fighting TAKAM in Nowhere, Maryland? (Oxon Hill, Maryland, has 17,000 residents.)

Think Usyk doesn't feel he's ready for Joshua? Are you kidding me? He's 32.

Uysk isn't going to make his pro HW debut in a world title fight with Joshua, and at late notice. Doesn't make sense on a sporting or business level; the latter factor being the case for both fighters. AJ doesn't want to burn up one of the few decent potential opponents he could face in the next two years just to fill a slot on a bill which is more about raising his profile than it is about the quality of fighter in the opposite corner.

And Uysk needs a fight to adjust to the division. Fighting Joshua is not that fight....

I never said that Usyk isn't ready, I'm saying his team have chosen to ease him into heavyweight, don't twist words to support your argument. Well it's up to Usyk to want the fight, surely you'd agree? Plenty of fighters have called out Joshua, haven't heard anything from Usyk.

Dubblechin, how many exactly the same post you have to make ? Every thread is so many pages, because someone like you spam the same thing over and over again. Everyone understand your view, let you other express their opinion, can we ?
Why you think by default that you are right ?
    Absolutely nonsenses.
How fighting Oleksandr Usyk will be fair for both side? Joshua is prepareing for a completely different opponent, same goes for Usyk.
And you are forgetting or simply because does not export your point of you, you are missing the part its going to be first Usyk match at the HW.
How dumb will be from his side to jump straight on Joshua ?
It`s purely Miller`s fault. So even if Hearn find a bus driver and Joshua is fighting him it`s not his fault and i won`t blame them for that. No time and Joshua almost 100% sure have to fight.
Not an easy task and everyone will try to twist Hearn hands now.

His "team" includes his promoter, Eddie Hearn.

And Eddie Hearn is promoting a heavyweight title fight in MSG in New York City June 1 and needs an opponent for the champion.

And he has an undefeated star in Usyk fighting in Oxon Hill, Maryland, four hours away ... who is already well into camp and preparing to fight a heavyweight.

Do you think Usyk would rather fight for the heavyweight title in Madison Square Garden on June 1, or fight Carlos Takam in Oxon Hill, Maryland, on May 25?

Because EVERY BOXING FAN IN THE WORLD, I believe (excluding you and that other clown), would rather see Usyk fight Joshua in New York.

How about Hearn just ask Usyk?

Or would you argue against that, too? Is asking too much?

Christ. You guys are the worst.

6 weeks is plenty of time. this isnt some ex boxer trying to make a comeback, this is a fighter that should be a month away from being physically ready for 12 rds. 8 week camps have been common since forever. why is 6 million not enough? i frickin hate the hw division, bunch of non fighting men just swerving each other.

At 34- 36 years old he'll be more seasoned to Heavyweight. I agree though, not many at that age want to get punch in the face.

Yes. It's so "unfair" to offer Anthony Joshua a fight with Oleksandr Usyk, and vice versa.

    So, so unfair.

How could they ever figure out how to fight each other in a month and a half?

Meanwhile, let's bash everyone else who isn't even in training camp for not stepping up. Do I have that right?

Offer the fight to Usyk. See if he wants it. That's all.

They're both available. Both in camp. Both fighting in hours apart. For the same promoter and the same network.

But it's so gosh darn UNFAIR to even bring it up. Right?

I agree. And Usyk is already in camp. And Usyk has a deal with DAZN. So he's likely making more than Miller was anyway.

And, Usyk will actually have AN EXTRA week to get ready than he would've if he went thru with the Takam fight.

    Joshua-Usyk!!!!

    Let's see it June 1st.
