Turns out Byrd and Trella were veto'd out immidiately by team Jacobs. Would be a travesty as that were the actual judges, but what were they doing in the judges' pool anyway?!

Byrd often rewards fighters who utilize footwork, counter punching and fighting off the backfoot as opposed to come forward aggression more than most judges. Remember she was the only judge to have Khan ahead vs Canelo at the time of the stoppage. Jacobs typically uses his footwork and fights moving away and side to side so in Canelo vs Jacobs, Canelo will probably be the fighter coming forward trying to cut off the ring with Jacobs giving Canelo movement and using his jab, so Byrd may actually have a stylistic preference for Jacobs in this matchup. Just because Byrd scored all those rounds to Canelo vs GGG doesn't mean she wouldn't favor Jacobs if she was appointed judge. That said, her being appointed would cause so much outrage amongst the fans that I can pretty much guarantee she won't be appointed. So there's no need to worry about Byrd being one of the judges.

I would ask for a new pool of judges entirely. They probably knew Byrd & Trella would be rejected, and thereby the other, less suspecting judges have also been paid off.
