    Not quite at the level we have been observing, but deserving of a mention for those Brits who remember:

    PJ Gallagher. He was fun fighter and his fight with Charlie Shepherd was a domestic classic!

    Shepherd too had a motor as a faded Tom Johnson would testify to!

    His name was Stephen Oliver (I meant to include that), but yeah he was known as Death, I agree it's a great nickname.

    Apparently it's because he went pale when he fought.

    They're all bantamweights and flyweights for obvious reasons.

    Recently I watched somoe Salvatore Burruni. He was very wild and aggressive early but impressed me in the 14th with his work rate.

    Zach Padilla was one of a kind.

    Good call on Ali.

    He doesn’t get mentioned in this regard often (maybe due to him tiring late in some fights when he was out of shape and shot) but his late fight output was amazing.

    I’m still awed by his 13th and 14th round rallies again Frazier (no slouch in the engine department either) in Manila. The punches were lightning fast, accurate and abundant. After going 12 torturous rounds beforehand in stifling heat to turn on a burst like that is amazing, especially in todays era when it’s not uncommon to see heavyweights blowing up and becoming sloppy by the mid rounds.

    Does he still hold the punchstat all time record for a single fight?

    The guy was a machine. I believe he’s the only guy to stop the concrete chinned La Porte and he did that simply by wearing him out to the point of exhaustion.

    The first ones I thought of were pressure fighters who throw leather non-stop and they are Henry Armstrong, Joe Frazier, Frankie Warren, Curtis Parker and Aaron Pryor. All similar in style. Arms pumping and not stopping until you fall or the final bell rings.
