Amir Imam sues Don King. The purse for his fight with Jose Ramirez was $300,000. He only recieved $29,000. King is alleged to violate the Ali act. King is scum. He screwed Vanes Martirosyan out of alot of money from the Ggg fight. I'm suprised one of his former fighters never put a hit out on him to get him killed. Charles Hatley, Vanes and Imam are just a recent few who are pissed at King.

King is known to pay fighters in cash, no checks so the money cant be tracked. There was a video awhile ago with King signing Vanes and he was pulling out stacks of money from his jacket. King will not deal with a fighter if a lawyer is present, he likes them to come alone.
When King eventually dies all the fighters he screwed over the last 40 plus years will be dancing in the streets and on his grave. I cant believe why his promoter license hasnt been pulled.

There's always two sides to every story. The fighters you mentioned above took advances against future purses without thinking they'd have to pay it back with interest. The $29,000 was all that was left of Imam's purse after Don took back the money he advanced Imam and according to the agreement Imam foolishly signed King did it legally.. Its just like the myth that the IRS screwed Joe Louis when instead Louis kept borrowing money from Jacobs against future purses and foolishly tried delaying his tax payments in hopes that the IRS would settle with him, but it didn't work. Fighters that don't take these ridiciulous advances never seem to have these problems. For his fight with Adrian Granados Imam took a $140,000 advance against his $275,000 purse.
