Against Garcia Khan would have done damn near anything to continue fighting, rarely have I seen a badly hurt fighter try to convince the ref he was ok like that. So it does suggest if Khan really wanted to continue, he would have done anything he could, dragged his bruised balls into battle if he had to, if he had that same mentality. It didn't look like he had that same fire to continue, it was a different attitude for him, one that wanted out.

Maybe he doesn't have the same mind set and is unwilling to take the beatings now. It should be ok for him to admit he was outclassed and headed for a bad KO so felt he had done enough, but I guess you cant do that in boxing, you are expected to fight to the death or get face planted....

If Khan did quit I'm glad he saved himself a nasty KO personally. If he did quit I don't see him as a quitter either and I'm not even a fan.

That's exactly what I bet on as well. The fight not going the distance.

I'm more perplexed as to how anyone thinks he got hit in the testicles. What human body houses their genitals on their upper right leg?

It was a shot closer to the upper groin/upper thigh area, it couldn't have possibly hit his testicles unless they're located on his upper thigh.

If he had a deadleg, that's fine, but to quit only 30 or so seconds into the 5 minute break period makes it seem like he was looking for a way out. From an optic standpoint, he would've been better off quitting after the full 5 minutes (even though that would look bad as well.)

I've seen way too many fighters actually get hit in the balls, take less than the 5 minute break period, and continue fighting. He was outclassed from the opening bell and he opted for attempting to get Crawford DQ'd.

I guess it's time he faces his domestic rival and than call it a day.

You could say he had no quit in him, but it's past tense now. The guy clearly quit in a contest where he was making several million dollars. What was so devastating as to make this valiant hearted hero of the ring quit? A low blow that didn't even come near his balls... The kind of routine low blow that happens constantly that you never see anyone quitting from.

Khan's heart is now as fragile as his chin. Been here since he got checked out in one by Prescott and the boards reached what must of been an all time fervor. It is what it is, and if you're a fan of the guy you can still at least be honest with yourself.

I'm stating facts. He wasn't hit in the upper leg, he was hit in the lower abdomen near the bladder, as he was moving towards the punch which increased the impact.

Terrible attitude towards paying fans tho imo. Thought it was poor from khan last night tbh. His careers slowly becoming a comedy act with each passing year. He still looks like an amateur fighter after years of pro training. i d hate to see khan or any boxer hurt....but basically quitting before even being interested in taking the five minutes is poor for the paying punter. He was getting beat up a bit in there but don't make the fight in the first place if you can't hang with it. Stop wasting peoples time and money. Advisors should be telling him his level for his own wellbeing.

He needs to retire should have after the Garcia fight for his own good tbh. He's a danger in a boxing ring at that level. These trainers still need to give him second by second instructions. We,ve seen Virgil needing to keep him focused at the side of the ring constantly. No one that needs that should be in a boxing ring with top tier guys. Maidana/Garcia/canelo/Crawford. They,ve all hurt him badly. He's beat maidana but at what cost further down the line. Was battered brutally at times in that fight. He shouldn't have even been in the ring with any of them. The guys got too many shortcomings in his game to not get badly bashed up at that level.

Not a dig at khan...who,s hgave it his best. But its time to give it up.

Only disappointing thing is I never saw the ref clearly state to Khan that he could take 5 minutes.

Crawford said he didn't hit him low and Khan says he didn't quit. Between the two of them they are claiming the fight went the full 12 rounds I guess.

    A valid and honest post
    Khan needs protecting from himself
people have told him he's better than he is for years even up to letting him near clen boy
Honestly cleverly managed but certainly not in respect to his long term health
He should retire and should have been looking at it at not being far away when froch mentioned it a few year back
to which he was immediately told he was jealous and a hater

Balls or no balls, lost all interest in Khan now. Why anyone would feather his retirement fund any more I've no idea.

It was a clear quit. A no mas. No question.

When hit in or near the crown jewels you can try to walk it off and the ref can give 5 minutes to do so. He didn't even try so it is a clear quit.

I've not necessarily an issue with quitting if he feels he just has no chance, but t's Khan's dishonesty which making him look really bad. He's embarrassing himself frankly.

In a way, all of us paying fans owe Khan a punch to the head.
