You have to give Rocky a chance against anyone. The George of 74 was very raw and got exposed by a past prime Ali. Totally different fighter I know but surely a prime Marciano would fancy his chances? As would some so called experts.

This. This is why I think George win easily, you could even throw Tyson and Tua in there

exactly. I dont think many realise that the performance of Foreman against Ali was not good enough to make george a dead certainty against an ATG caliber counter puncher.

Why not? Marciano's chin was never hit by anyone as remotely powerful as George, and Rocky was dropped by Moore (I know he could bang, but not like Foreman)
He doesn't have an excellent defense, and walks forwards into shots. He is tailor made for Foreman, and outside of Zaire he wasn't ever even dropped out of exhaustion, I can't see anyway of Rocky winning. Coz he definitely isn't going to outbox Foreman

And George was dropped by light punching Jimmy young who doesn't hit remotely as hard as all time great Marciano, so what your saying is Rocky can’t hit and drop Foreman but a non champion like Young can? Hmm

I think the Rock would have put on a show of championship courage and heart regardless...like Frazier did.

That was a poorly conditioned Foreman who had no confidence. Not the beast that Wiped out Fraizer and Norton, Ali broke him

Oh ok George was poorly conditioned that time very professional of him I must say. Let’s hope he’s not out of shape and doesn’t lack confidence in this fantasy match up then.

Well he wouldn't, you take the best Foreman for the fantasy match ups, is sarcastic comments the best argument you can come up with

No there is no easy fights for Foreman at ATG level. George was Far too wild and green at his best to have an easy fight against great fighters. Ali wasn’t even at his best.

We are not talking Joe Roman, Joe Murphy Goodwin or China chinned Norton here. Nor the out of shape, post FOTC Frazier, old timer Chuvalo either. But a great unbeaten champion at his best.

Wasn’t a heavy knock down I’d agree. However like everyone else he wasn’t invulnerable, and it’s worth pointing out when he’s going in with one of the hardest hitters of all time.

I don't think Marciano hit as hard as George.I also don't think Marciano met many real bangers. Foreman was a dropped a few times but never by two men nearly 40 years old.
