Vitally should be the favorite here, although he never beat anybody as good as Spinks.

Spinks is better than Byrd.To Vitali’s defense, he was ahead on points in that fight. In my opinion Spinks would be a slight favourite

Ahead on points ? Big thing ... In his home against a weak unprepared easy Ibeabuchi victim.
Otherwise Spinks' Holmes wins are better than Vitali's overrated full legacy.

Spinks decision (split). He’ll confuse and surprise him just like Holmes

Vitali would destroy him. Spinks will run around and surprise with speed early, but those straight long punches by Vitali will find there mark eventually.

Soon Spinks will be trying to stay on the outside and box, putting him on the end of Vitali's punches where he can use his Height and Reach to cut Spinks down. The fight devolves within 4 rounds into a runner vs puncher were the puncher has all the tangible physical advantages.

Spinks gets sparked out in 9.

Watch Vitali destroy a real HeavyWeight. Does anyone really think Spinks could survive any of the hits Vitali was landing on Briggs? Briggs was a big man and stood 6' 4" yet still looked small against Vitali. Vitali is probably the greatest H2H Heavy in history, his only competition being perhaps Lennox and Ali. There are other heavies that would give Vitali trouble, but very few. Spinks is not one of them.

I agree with this. He also never beat anyone as good as the Larry Holmes that Spinks beat (technically twice).

At the right odds, Spinks is definitely worth a flutter. Vitali wont stop him as easily as Tyson did. Vitali will certainly cause trouble with his power, but dont be surprised if Spinks loads up a bit on Vitali as well. Spinks is a lot better than say Adamek, who Vitali fought (and beat). I think it is a good fight.

I agree with you. I had Vitali ahead against Byrd but by a notably smaller margin than the official cards.Although I thought that Spinks lost both fights against Holmes, I would lean towards him to beat Vitali.

Vitali will win by ko around 8-10 as Spinks will have suffered a beating.
