Marciano vs Foreman... What Can The Rock Do?

Doesn’t the old mongoose still hold the world record for scoring the most knockouts out of every boxer that ever laced them up? Wasn’t the fight between him and Rocky to decide who was the best heavyweight in the world at that time? Old man Walcott was the champ at the time too so they couldn’t of been that bad and Marciano knocked them both out. I agree though that Foreman probably hit harder than both.

I can name Heavyweights that most likely hit harder than Marciano, he's one of the hardest HW hitters for his size, but in reality big hitters who are heavier will hit harder

 

Moore was a good 40 years old and Walcott was 38 and neither were ATG heavyweight punchers

 

Technically, Marciano only needs to hit as hard as Muhammad Ali to knock George out.

Archie Moore makes no one's list of Top 40 greatest heavyweight punchers. Especially if we are talking head to head. Please.

Lavorante? The guy was top 5 had ko’d Folley Moore gave him such a beating he had to be carried from the ring! This was years after he fought Rocky and Lavorante weighed 210pounds.

 

That's kind of my angle too. Foreman fought with a lot of nervous energy. It made him explosive but also prone to gassing later on. Ali managed to gas him out and KO him. Unfortunately Ali was a very good defensive fighter and while Marciano has a decent repertoire of slips and cute tricks he's not really in the same league as Ali in that respect. He'd have to maul and frustrate Foreman and hope that George tired before the weight disparity made itself felt.

Rademacher was never ranked in the top ten. Lavorante was ranked briefly after beating Folley ,his only win of any significance. Lavorante was really a green novice who caught Folley on an of night.
