Well I picked Pulev to fight Joshua ,that to me seemed like the logical choice with a actual relevant fight of whos available.

Ruiz is also as U.S based guy, beyond that you have Martin so the choices are actually limited. Joshua will be the hardest guy to get a fight with in HW history ( WATCH ) even over paying fighters like no one else has had to that's how he has everyone shook ,you got guys running to Wilder for 200K pay days instead of 3 / 5 million ones ,never seen anything like it...lol .Not even Klitschko had a hard time and there was literally no tug of war in negotiations when he was champion .

Id actually like to see Joyce fight Joshua since that's the most threatening HW for him and brings certain elements the others don't have that are needed to defeat Joshua and at least would make a competitive dangerous fight for him .

When we REALLY look at who poses a THREAT .

1.Ruiz Jr. Short plodder ,predictable. Only hand Speed and some tricky baits can help him get out of the first few rounds ( maybe ) ,really don't see a guy 250 plus at 6'1 faring very well . lol

    2. Hunter, a more sizeable HW but his only weapon and skill to work around Joshua is a jab ,he wont be doing overly everything better then Joshua . He's less puncher then Ruiz too so how does he hurt Joshua ? Id only give him slight better then Ruiz chance here.

    3. Martin . Hes already lost being a southpaw (no southpaw will defeat Joshua, yes that includes Ortiz ) and Martin is probably still having nightmares from 2016.

    4. Pulev. The most experienced and showed he does actually hit pretty hard when pushed. This is by far the more difficult fight then the ones mentioned above giving he's 6'4 250 and can work behind a jab and use deceptive angles and can make many look bad .. Only loss is to Wlad.

    5. Joyce . My personal choice standing 6'6 265 ,a true pulverizer that has hundereds of rounds with Joshua so he knows what he's in for. He has unpredictability /power/ size and chin and that comes with great stamina and durability, it would be very interesting fight if anything.

    Everyone has a weakness .

    1. Ruiz Jr. Undersized /length /height.
    2. Hunter .Not a real power puncher, a little rough in exchanges.( hasn't fought a real top HW . )
    3. Martin . Can be overwhelmed with aggressive guys.
    4. Pulev. May cut and is more of a grinder hit and clinch ( could he grind down Joshua like he does smaller guys ?)
    5. Joyce. Not overly fast on defense and offense. How much punishment can he take ?

Maybe Hearn should just scrap an opponent since they dont think they can win and have Joshua fight 3 guys in the top 20 in 5 rounders ? Whoever lasts the full 5 gets a million plus a jar of Ovaltine. :BangHead:

Ortiz makes a killing with his social security check.
We all know Hearn's offer was less than that.

You don't quite understand how social security works, but this funny because Luis Ortiz is old and social security is associated with old people.

I think there are four possibilities for why this went the way it did.(in order of likelyhood)
    1. Ortiz’s team have been promised an immediate Wilder rematch, and Ortiz wants a world title more than anything else. He’s more confident in his ability to beat Wilder with a full camp than Joshua on short notice.
    2. Ortiz and his team have really bad information about how much money Ortiz can make and also won’t accept he’s 40 and has to take what he can get at this point,. He doesn’t have any time left to build his career, just to end it as well as he can.
    3. Ortiz is scared of Joshua.
    4. Hearn actually did lowball Ortiz, which would be paying him anything under 500,000 imo given the obvious opportunity that comes with the fight.

It’s probably a mix of 1 and 2. Overall a big mistake for Ortiz I think, but time will tell. Best case scenario for him now is he gets Wilder immediately, but he’ll probably lose- he’s just gonna be older, slower, and have less stamina. In both cases he comes off with 0 belts, but a lot more money in one instance than the other. Is he ducking Joshua? Dipping his head a bit maybe. I wouldn’t say he’s under the covers sucking his thumb though.

Why are people talking about Riddick Bowe? Or Luis Ortiz, who was never even sent a contract?

Eddie Hearns has the #1 heavyweight contender signed in Whyte.

Hearn has the Fighter of the Year in unified cruiserweight champ Usyk (who weighs more than Deontay Wilder on fight nights) signed.

Hearn has a date in Madison Square Garden booked. The tickets are sold. The fight is on PPV in the UK. DAZN is itching to show a halfway decent card.

Miller blows it with six weeks before the fight. Plenty of time to find a replacement.

Whyte is eager. Usyk is already in camp training for a heavyweight fight. Fighting Joshua would give him an extra week to train.

The heavyweight division WAS hot after Wilder-Fury. Joshua will have been out nine months. He wants a big fight.

All Hearn had to do was offer the fight to Usyk or Whyte. Both/either would have taken it.

Hearn would've been viewed as a hero. Boxing Fans all over the world would be buzzing about the next great heavyweight title fight.

Instead, Usyk is going to be fighting in a town with a population that could fit in MSG. There isn't going to be anyone there.

I don't know why people are complaining about anything other than how Hearn has botched this opportunity.

The stage is set. He's got the top contender and the Fighter of the Year any time he wants them.

WHY didn't they get the call?

WHY will Anthony Joshua have basically wasted an entire year of his prime?

Hearn had no backup plan for Miller.

Hunter is fighting on the Usyk undercard. How is he free, a loser to Usyk at cruiserweight, but Usyk isn't?

Unified champs move up and fight for titles all the time. Usyk fought as heavyweight in the WSB and beat guys like Joyce.

Doesn't Usyk want to make a splash in the US, too? Yes. Anyone think he's afraid of Joshua? No. Anyone think he can't handle heavyweight? He weighs more than Wilder.

Make the biggest fight that can be made.

    Joshua-Usyk. Joshua-Whyte 2.

Fans would love that. DAZN would love that. Ticket buyers would love that. Joshua, Usyk or Whyte would love that. The ppv audience would love that.

Seems like the only reason we aren't seeing it is Eddie Hearn.

But people are talking about Riddick Bowe? Jesus.

    What a Trainwreck.

Oh man, it's like it's upside down world right now, fighters doing anything they can to avoid fighting for the titles.

You can't really criticise Hearn when he offered the fight to Wilder, Fury and Whyte at Wembley and they all turned down the offers. When Miller Pops Hearn offers it to the two biggest names available in Ortiz and Kownacki who both turned down the fight.

Usyk team have already stated they want one or two fights before they make the AJ fight. Usyk already has a fight booked for next month with Takam, after that he becomes mandatory for the WBO.

Whyte after turning down the AJ fight and signing up his US rights with ESPN obviously has obiligations and is now fighting a Top Rank fighter in Rivas.

It is now likely that either Hunter or Ruiz Jr are going to be AJ's opponent, funny thing is both are still better fighters than either Breazeale or Schwarz.

KOWNACKI and ORTIZ are NOT the two biggest names.

The TWO biggest names available are Usyk and Whyte - who are both promoted by Hearn.

I'm sure Usyk would fight Joshua in Madison Square Garden for the titles instead of fighting Carlos Takam in an empty casino.

He doesn't need to fight Takam and suddenly HE'LL BE READY for Joshua.

Usyk is an Olympic Heavyweight Champion. He's 32 years old. He's arguably the best fighter on the planet.

What's he going to learn from Takam?

And I'm sure Whyte would fight Joshua for the titles in Madison Square Garden instead of fighting freaking Oscar Rivas.

The Usyk fights and the Whyte fights are being promoted by Hearn, too.

The only person who would be put out if Usyk didn't fight Takam is Eddie Hearn.

They have OBLIGATIONS just like Hunter has an obligation to fight on the Usyk undercard.

Miller deserves criticism for blowing his title shot.

Hearn deserves MAJOR criticism because HE HAS THE TWO LOGICAL CONTENDERS in his pocket, and he won't offer them a fight with Joshua because either of them losing would HURT MATCHROOM.

Hearn is blocking Joshua-Usyk and Joshua-Whyte II.

Hearn deserves the criticism. First Miller. Now Hearn.

    No one else.
