It's nothing to do with opposing views it's how they are reached!!!! When one has to sink to the depths yourself and some others have in this thread then it's ID time.

I know exactly what it means. Nobody is pretending to know what they don’t know. Offering up facts to support a view is a legitimate example of producing something that you know. There is nothing dishonest in that.

saying George Foreman was knocked out by a guy who didn’t hit as hard as Marciano is a universally known factor. And there is nothing dishonest in saying Foreman did not knockout every fighter he fought who weighed less than 200lb. Because he didn’t.

You can use examples in saying that the guy who didn’t hit as hard as Marciano used tactics to get Foreman tired but it dosnt change the fact that a punch landed and a count was completed.

So there is nothing dishonest about the sub 200lb survivor or being knocked out by a lighter puncher that would suggest pretending to know that it even happened. Because it did happen.

The tiredness could be a factor. If it was a major factor then let’s talk about how Marciano might get George so tired. I am happy to debate this too. Because that would be open and intellectually honest of me. If I wasn’t intellectually honest, I would shy away from this, but I am not. So bring it on.

He reminds me of those women who say their last 5, 6, 7+ boyfriends were all horrible people but somehow the woman is a saint or a victim of bad circumstances.

Apparently me, you, and so many other posters are simply out to get him or we have an agenda and cant possibly have a valid point even thought we've all independently reached the same conclusion about him.

I'm not easily offended but it happens when someone insults my intelligence.

Wasn't it Nietzsche who explored the ID idea in Beyond Good and Evil? Fascinating read btw.

    WTF is ID ?

I've read Nietzsche, and no, I can't remember that.
Freud talks about "the Id" (along with the ego and the super-ego) .... but ID (note the capitalization), what is it ???

No. I haven’t called anybody horrible. I don’t see myself a victim at all. I am bemused by an irrational lack of tolerance toward facts that get in the way of one fighter having universal acceptance.

The conclusion you each independently have in common is a that you all think it should be illegal to voice a chance for Marciano against Foreman. You have no grounds to believe it is something “about me” other than i produce a view you disagree with.

ID is some new password a few of them have decided to label me with. A shutdown tactic probably borrowed from communist Russia or something...

Intellectual dishonesty. It's all over Beyond Good and Evil, my friend...in fact, it's one of the most important premises there.

Foreman was brutal too and has every kind of physical advantage to produce a bigger uphill struggle for Rocky than anything he experienced. So I would not be surprised either way.

I just don’t think it entirely rational to dismiss some relevant shortcomings young George had in order to so completely write Marcianos chances off altogether.

I mean it’s not like Rocky was Johnny Paycheck.

Aaah, yeah .... Plato, Kant ("The Chinaman of Konigsberg") being the main choklabs of Nietzsche's polemic, if memory serves me.

I won't even directly converse with him.
I would rather attempt to decipher one of Mark ants ramblings than engage him.
At least with Mark, no matter how garbled his views come across as, you know he is being sincere.
He can also spell Field & Doesn't correctly.
    I.D. ....love it
