Because now days it seems like the majority of fans have to be fanboys of certain guys and follow them no matter what
That's the first and only time I feel Mayweather was robbed. What the hell the judge giving Canelo points for ? Hitting air ? Taking PBF's shots and still looked strong ?
The sport has long been tarnished before Canelo. And will remain that way so long as there's such a thing as a home fighter or a cash cow
Pure fanboyism. There are a couple that are just blantantly denying things everyone can see right in front of them. The ridiculous scores, are usually done away with that they had him winning the fight non the less, so one or 2 judges' giving him almost every single round doesn't matter and has zero influence, and it didn't happen that often anyway. While you don't have to think about it for more as 2 seconds why it definitely and obviously does, and that it happened in each and every fight in which his opponent fought good... Then there were the diva tricks, the 155 CW issue, the doping scandal (I don't know if to laugh or cry about the "his next tests came up clean so he was clean all along" thing!) and the dropping of the WBC belt when forced to fight under the standard rules that apply to everyone else. BUT... this counts for many more fanboys for many more fighters. Once they're elite or close to it, the most ridiculous fans pop up from where ever they recided to hang on every word (even blantant verifiable lies) as if it's gospel. To defend undefendable stances and/or actions, and act like they have some mythical powers (without being tongue in cheek about it) to beat everyone past, present or future. Pac, Floyd, Rigo, Golovkin, Lara, Loma, Hopkins etc, etc... they all have such fans. Not just Canelo.
I agree with nearly everything you said here. All I can think that GGG and his team were thinking was that if they could get Canelo to come to them they could catch him on the counter and maybe KO him. Well, their strategy worked insofar as Golovkin caught him with some terrific punches ... unfortunately Canelo's chin is armour-plated and he ate them up. But yeah, Golovkin won both.
BCS8O i do even think GGG won the second fight even more wide. Yes Canelo was on front foot, but he didn`t do any dmg. He doesn`t have the skill for that. Golovkin was jabing him all night and simply outplay him. It was plain obvious on the ring that Canelo plan was not working and that he is frustrated, tired and there was moments where he looks ready to go and i do think a younger GGG could have stopped him or atleast KD him. I really liked Canelo, and still are watching his matches, but i`m really disappointed with this scorecards. It doesn`t give him favor in my eyes. In his resume yes, but in people eyes not. I have huge respect for Golovkin, but as i said i`m disappointed with him and his team as well. Yeah it was a big money match, but he already have enough money. He doesn`t needed that match. Everyone knows he won the first one. I mean it was obvious what will happen if he does not win via KO and also Canelo popped. No one could have said anything to him for refusing to fight him. The main question now it`s stand will they make third match. Now Canelo have all the cards, the judges will be even worst, and even on KO he will get draw in his resume. And lets be real here. They both have granite chin. They are top fighters and most of these matches are close. Don`t expect someone to win 10 out of 12 round. So GGG will always be robbed. Not to mention he is in advanced age. Won`t get better. Can`t do better. Even if he do a little bit better, he still will get lose in his record. It was idiot*** move from team GGG to find Canelo for second time, after see the scorecards in the first fight. I do think Tyson Fury also realize it wasn`t to be fair with Wilder and they threw the rematch. Fury - Wilder was fight that was very easy to score. Yet one of the judges give 115-111 for Wilder, come on for what exactly ? Some people are okay with such b.c. scoring, but i`m not. Sorry but its a plain robbery and such scorecards simply destroys the boxing scene. Joshua - Povetkin is some other recent example. Okay Joshua win via KO, but the scorecards are so sh... its not even real. So how do you think any real contender will read this ? They will go with a plan if i don`t knock him out, whatever i do i will write down - lose. 58-56, 58-56, and 59-55 all in favor of Joshua, when Povetkin was dominating early rounds and he definetely won atleast 4 rounds out of 6. Yet they give 4 rounds to 2 for Joshua, and the third judge give it 5 round to 1 .... Again this was not very hard to score fight. Wilder - Ortiz before stoppage was absolutely the same b.c.
This content is protected I don't know George I take it all back, this is the first time I've re-watched the fight and to call it close is an understatement. I mean where the hell do you start? Canelo surprised us all by taking the centre of the ring and controlling the pace, Golovkin though was picking Canelo off with a sickening jab. Then we have the middle rounds where Canelo really started working the body and was beating Golovkin up, Golovkin was still playing the role of the Matador landing crisp jab after crisp jab. The biggest surprise though is at 36 at around round 9 Golovkin seems to find another gear and starts taking control of the action, in round 10 he lands a monster right hand that clearly hurt Canelo and it looked like he may get the stoppage. Round 11 and in the early seconds Canelo still looks like he's feeling the effects from the shot but Golvkin can't close the show, Canelo digs deep and fights fire with fire and gets his respect back. In the last round both show great heart and ability and fight neck and neck. I did not score the fight round by round but IMO there's nothing in between them at all, gone is my outrage at the robbery. This was no robbery, this was an amazing title fight. A draw would have been the best result for me. By the way this is by far the best commentary I've seen on the fight, the guys were spot on IMO.
I re-watched the fight in many videos and in a lot of rounds in a slow motion, even go at 0.25 speed to see if some of the shot they throw land or not. This is how i score it and i don`t see how you can score it different to be fair: GGG - Canelo fight number 2 round 1 = 10 - 9 Golovkin clearly round 2 = 19 - 19 Canelo clearly round 3 = 29 - 28 Golovkin clearly round 4 = 39 - 37 Golovkin wide round 5 = 49 - 46 Golovkin clearly round 6 = 58 - 56 Canelo wide round 7 = 68 - 66 very close round, Canelo start well, mid round Golovkin jab him hard, and finish it very strong and i score it even, but could go in Golovkin favor, has to be bias to give it to Canelo tho round 8 = 77 - 76 another close round, simillar to previous and could go even again, if you have to give it to someone its Canelo. round 9 = 87 - 85 Golovkin clearly round 10 = 97 - 94 Golovkin by huge margin, he simply smashed Canelo and there was a big right hand from Golovkin where Alvarez was stunned and ready to go and from this round on, he started backing and was laying on the ropes round 11 = 107 - 103 Golovkin wide GGG come in dominant fashion and land some big shoots in there round 12 = 117 - 113 close round, but to me Golovkin landed the hardest shot, both landed some in the exchange, but the shots wasn`t clear and they was not crisp, except Golovkin uppercuts, he landed 5 uppercuts in this rounds, where 2 was really heavy ones so if i have to give the round to one of them has to be for Golovkin, because of the hardest shot in that round. But every close round i score it even, except the 8, where i give it to Canelo, and this one i will score even. So i have it 7 rounds for Golovkin and 3 rounds for Canelo and i have 3 very close rounds, where i score 2 of them even and 1 of them for Canelo. So now lets see the judges score cards: This content is protected How all of them give the 3rd and the 5th round to Canelo is beyond me, as well as 2 of them give him the 9 round. GGG was clearly better in this rounds and not only outlanded him, but looked better. I also don`t agree with them on the 12 round. Yes it was a close round, but Golovkin shots stood in my head and it was close round, where you can score it for the guy that landed the most memorable punches and that was GGG. Every close round, and even if GGG looked a little bit better then Canelo, the judges just score it for the golden boy. Maybe won`t make such a problem of that if they didn`t do the same s**** in the first fight. But in there, there was some big rounds for GGG, where the judges give them to Canelo .... Its hard for me that if you are a judge and you a complete unbias you will score the fight differently than me.
Canelo was neither ready to go nor was he laying on the ropes. This is a fantasy that you and other bumboys have to constantly feed yourselves in order to believe the fight wasn't close. This content is protected Thats round 10. The moment you claim Canelo was ready to be stopped was the moment he produced beautiful highlight reel level defense. Guys who are on the verge of being stopped usually don't dodge and evade combinations like he did. Canelo stood right in front of GG after taking a good punch and made him miss every shot he followed up on. He then proceed to back GG up with body shots and hooks up top. GG backed up with his arms down while sucking in huge breaths of air , signs he was feeling the body attack of Canelo . More exchanges followed and GG shock his his head which is gesture guys do when they know they lost an exchange. Canelo's back never once touched the ropes , he certainly wasn't laying on the ropes like you falsely claim. People like you intentionally lie and create situations that didn't happen to make an argument. You saw purely what you wanted to see and did not score it objectively. The round was close , very hard to score as both guys evened out each others work for the whole 3mins. Maybe GG nicked it , but he didn't smash Canelo , nor win win it by a "huge margin"
I was 50 - 50 with should i respond or not, to a proven troll. But i decide to rep you. Even Canelo corner told him to not go in exchange and was asking him how hurt is he in the pause between rounds i read that much of your post and decide to skip the rest of it, cause i know it will be full of ..... Sorry nothing personal against you, but by the post you are making over and over to me you are a proven troll.
