Off the rails on what? You are just bashing the science... you ain't contributed jack ****...just bash bash bash... you come up with your own antidoping agency then I wanna see how far you get. You got all the answers.
Bio's been beat in cycling. And you keep waxing on about how its imperative. You don't know **** about cycling and antidoping, sorry that's a fact. I only joined in because I can't stand your walls of misinformed paragraphs anymore.
I understand what you mean, but it is not that simple, I am not a scientist in pathology... but the passport system has several advanced modules that analyse key markers. When an athlete is first tested, several factors are taken into account.... (at this point he has no historical data on record)... so now we look at the age, the ethnicity, the environment/climate and the pathology indicates to us what is typical and what is not typical... same way a doctor analyses your blood work and what is normal for your cholestrol compared to average limits... and then compared to your OWN profile because some people are genetically prone to high cholestrol even if fit and healthy. The passport frame works off intra-individual (same body) data and inter-individual (comparing with other people)... so now no historic data is on record makes it hard to defer to the intra-individual, we defer to the inter-individual and check the data against other similar people. So ignoring historic data, the pathologists still have several tests in place to check for PEDs and homologous blood transfusions... the historic data just makes it more accurate over time. And now at this point data is recorded.... and in future it will continue to be recorded.... and context will be provided on the overall profile.... there are thousands of markers involved in this testing.... like I said it is complex and cannot just be discussed on a whim here in the forum.
Yeah good for cyclists, I have faith the science will catch up... now when you wanna talk about the OTHER 99% OF SPORTS that need a little more than microdosing small amounts of EPO for single digit performance increase.... join back in... otherwise jog on. I have not misinformed nothing.... I've raised awaress on how passport ACTUALLY works... to the misinformed... thinking its substance detection.
You only joined to bash science... I don't know jack about cycling? Cool... and you have no clue on science ANOTHER fact.
For the benefit of the forum, next time don't join in if you have nothing useful to contribute except hate.
I am making meaningful contributions, you are just writing hot air and deflecting. You shared an article from a website, and I shared a more up to date article from the same website.... and it's not good enough... I don't know if you have lost a cycling tournament to some doper in the past.... i dont give a ****.... I am here to talk about the benefits of Passport system especially to the boxing community. Cyclists and runner are the rare exceptions that have a chance of cheating through microdosing... passport is an EXTENSIVE framework.... it can pick it up eventually and that is the bottom line. Just exit thread... if you wanna hate on passport...you are not productive.
For the benfit of the thread and readers, an article on cyclists/microdosing and the passport system https://www.uci.org/inside-uci/clean-sport/anti-doping/the-athlete-biological-passport Our front line of defence against dopers... @thesmokingm has provided no such defence just hatred of our best modern tools in antidoping
Christ almighty. This thread isn't titled ABP, how I think its super. Make your own thread and go troll it.
A very succinct summary... kudos. I slightly disagree that Lance never left any evidence (at any point in his career) as he failed four tests at the 1999 TdF, for corticosteroids, something you alluded to, of course. Yes, they weren't made public but it was evidence of failed tests. Of course, his particularly savage treatment of colleagues and rivals was more pertinent, as it was these people who ultimately brought him down. The Secret Race by Tyler Hamilton is an amazing testimony to this era of cycling. Also you should research gene doping, which I suspect is the new silver bullet for drugs cheats....
I don't think I've ever read someone obsessively support anti-doping anonymously online so passionately. Why? What do you gain from spending so much time posting about it?
